Ron Jaworski's Valleybrook Country Club
About
Ron Jaworski's Valleybrook Golf Club is one of South Jersey's most popular public courses. It's a local favorite not only because of the affordable rates but also for the challenging design. The diverse terrain provides the classic layout with a mix of flat and hilly holes. On some holes you can expect elevation changes from tee to green. It's a golf course that will keep you on your toes. It will test your accuracy with its narrow, tree-lined fairways and the elevation changes throughout the course make proper club selection essential. Water hazards also appear on nine occasions. The course has appeal for players of all skill levels. It's player-friendly enough for beginners while advanced players will enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities. There is also a driving range available at Valleybrook Golf Club.

Valley Brook needs update
You can not fault the course for slow players. what I can fault the course for was NOT marking areas on the course that are mud soaked cart path holes. I dont know what it is but the couse is tight from the 8 to the 11th hole.the place needs to be updated like the locker room and bathrooms.
length of play
When we arrived, they were 20 minutes behind, was a 5 hour round, didn't see any rangers to speed up play
Great Course for Beginners!
Great for beginning golfers or the first round of the year. Not too much trouble off the tees. Greens in great shape! Great range, great staff!!
wow that took long
The course itself was in phenomenal shape...fairways were excellent...greens were fast. ..however, we had to wait 45 minutes to get a cart and in the 5 and half hours we played, we only got through 11 holes. With the timeliness of the round and battling on and off rain we called it quits after 11. When getting to tee boxes we had to wait for the 2 groups ahead of us to tee off. Course management seemed to be an issue. With that said, I would still try and play there again since it was a Saturday and a beautiful day. Seemed as if everyone in south jersey had the same idea as us
Changes at V Brook
The course has changed over the past winter. Hole #15 the trees along the left hand side have been cut down. Many sand bunkers have been covered with fresh sod making for a less challenging experience in a good way. Great bang for your buck. Exapecially if you get a hot deal. Nice changes for a course I have played for the past 12 years.
Valleybrook
Excellent public course. Greens and fairways are in great shape and play very true. Props to Jaws!
Way Overbooked on a Saturday- Don't Play Unless Like Waiting
My foursome had booked a 3:20 tee time at Valleybrook but the course was so overbooked that there were not enough carts for all the golfers. By the time that the carts were returned and we were able to tee off it was 4:15.
Pace of play was abysmal due to the number of groups Valleybrook allowed. The tee boxes regularly looked like parking lots. It took an hour and 20 minutes to play the first 3 holes. We ended up playing till dark (8 pm) and had only made it to the 12th tee, due to having to wait to take every shot.
When we went back to the club house, we were told that the course had set a new record, 240 groups in the day!
I wouldn't recommend playing this course again on a weekend.
valleybrook
Course didn't look complete, but doesn't look under construction. Nice fairways and greens. Tee boxes need work.
Fun course
Fun course, great club house. Many elevation changes. Course is well kept.
Course is in the best shape Ive seen all season
Valleybrook has long been a local convenience. Current management has enhanced the atmosphere on and off the course. Warmth in the facility from the setting and the barkeeps. But lets face it, none of that is possible without good golf conditions. Greens are consistent and roll true, and although Ive seen them faster, I like the condition. Fairways and tee boxes spawn no complaints, and I always see guys working to improve. Keep it up. Ive been there three times in the last five weeks.
Good course for the money
Booking through Golf Now made this a great value for a last minute tee time. Course was in good shape and maintained for the most part but the cart was pretty rough.
What an improvemnent
Played this cource a couple year5s back and was not inpressed, Great Greens, Tees and Fairway if you could see them.now a couple years later. Wow, what a difference. Wonderfull fast greeen, nice tee boxes and fairways and rough. Nice Job Ron!
Too expensive for an average muni course
I'd possibly consider this an option if it were only $30, but at twice that I will never go back again. Its not in great shape, its short, and always seems to have a slow pace of play. There are probably about 4 holes where you should have a helmet on with all of the golf balls that are landing around you.
Not worth it.
I like That I get to use my hybrids a lot
It makes you play smart that's if you want a good score. I only pulled my driver out on four holes and shot a 78. It's not a course that you have to use your driver all the time and I only drive the ballabout 230 at the most. It played really slow it took me over 5 hours to play because of a tournament but over all I enjoyed it
Fun day out
Course was in great shape. Had a good time. Went on Columbus day so it was crowded which slowed play. I would definitely go back. 82.00 for a foursome well worth the money.
Well maintained, good value
The course was in very good shape. The layout is nothing spectacular, most of the holes are pretty straight, especially the front nine. But it's plenty long to make it challenging.
The staff could use some etiquette training though, particularly the fellows in the clubhouse who were not very helpful to me as a first time golfer there.
Another course that needs to buy sand.
I played this one for the first time and was put behind a large outing (just went off 45 minutes prior). It took at least 5 hours to play. Nice course; a little different than most with some hilly holes but again........CAN YOU BUY SOME SAND FOR THE TRAPS. Expected a little more from a Ron J course but I will play again.........especially at the rate I got. I wouldn't give it 4 full stars....about a 3.8.
This course has an excellent layout
Great layout with some challenging water holes. Well maintained fairways and greens, good mix of tight and open fairways
varying layout
Varying layout: straight, wide holes, tight blind holes, uphill/downhill lies are a plenty mid round. Challenging and fun. Usually very good conditions, love the greens.
