Ron Jaworski's Valleybrook Country Club
About
Ron Jaworski's Valleybrook Golf Club is one of South Jersey's most popular public courses. It's a local favorite not only because of the affordable rates but also for the challenging design. The diverse terrain provides the classic layout with a mix of flat and hilly holes. On some holes you can expect elevation changes from tee to green. It's a golf course that will keep you on your toes. It will test your accuracy with its narrow, tree-lined fairways and the elevation changes throughout the course make proper club selection essential. Water hazards also appear on nine occasions. The course has appeal for players of all skill levels. It's player-friendly enough for beginners while advanced players will enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities. There is also a driving range available at Valleybrook Golf Club.

Fairways need attention
Rough was very high. Fairways need attention.
Greens in good shape but slow. Pace of play
Was slow.
Fun course that plays short, we enjoyed our round.
Fun little course that plays short. I enjoyed the terrain changes and water features that came into play. I would play this course again as it was a bargain.
A little switcheroo.
When we got there 45 minutes before our tee time (hoping to hit some balls at the range first), we were informed that our tee time had been moved 25 minutes later than originally scheduled on the website "to accomodate the members". This would have messed up our schedules for the remainder of the day.
Fortunately, we asked if there was anyway to get us off earlier and they said we could go earlier if we teed off immediately, which we did. But we were unable to hit balls first as originally planned.
So it sort of worked out but not as we had planned and booked.
I find this course very challenging
played in 4hrs very good pace of play for morning start 9;20am
course in very good condition only couple of fairways that are getting attention, greens rolled well.
do not like gas carts, need to keep water jugs full
No controll over an outing
Two singles and a twosome teamed up on 9 because we caught up to an outing that had three foursomes waiting to tee off on 9.
After a call to pro shop no marshalls were seen.
plays short, yet still challenging
had a very nice time playing this course. played on a very nice saturday afternoon so wasn't surprised or mad at the longer pace of play. Would definitely go back.
s
it was a nice course for the money. The pace was excellent.
course is short, play was slow
the course is decent. First few holesa re boring. Gets better after that. numerous holes across large creek, somewhat interesting. Very short par 4s, most were 330. Some holes listed at 380 or 390 but were only 350 on GPS. Carts were backed up on first 3 holes - 2-3 foursomes on each hole.
Lawnmower ran over my friend's ball. Kicked it sideways 20 yards and cut the ball. That is totally uncalled for! I would have went to pro shop after round and complained.
Overall course condition was very good. The greens were excellent.
Course was in very good condition, particularly the greens (excellent). Pace of play was slow, primarily because we were following an outing which we did not know was scheduled that day. Had we known there was an outing we would not have played the course that day. Unfortunately booking thourgh GolfNow does not give outing information. Exxcept for the pace of play really enjoyed the course and would definitley go back there.
Good course but a little tight
The course was okay. Need to use all your clubs. Some of the fairways run pretty close together. Had to be aware of golfers heading your way. Water comes into play on a number of holes.
This course had good features and is full of slopes
Played this course while it was a little wet out but was still very playable. Pretty challenging course but worth the deal.
Careful when you go...
Okay so I gave the course 4 stars because it was in very good shape, was very nice, and was fun to play. I am by no means good at golf so take my rating as you wish.
Be careful what time you go to play. We scheduled a tee time for 3:30 and when we got there we were backed up about 4-6 carts. We did not tee off until close to 4 and we did not start whole 3 until after 5pm. Needless to say we did not finish the round we made it 15 holes before it was too dark. It opened up once we got out towards the end of the front 9 but not enough to keep a nice pace going. We had to wait to tee off at every whole and we are pretty sure some groups even left.
The course has a nice layout.
Pace of play was very slow. Higher handicapped players should not be allowed to play during peak time Tee boxes were not mowed short enough. Overall good experience except for waiting on every single shot.
Decent course for the money
They had recently punched the greens so they were not great but will get better. The course has some unique holes that may require you to play it another time in order to fully understand. Water runs through many holes and it is very hilly. Overall good experience. Staff was very friendly. Course will be better conditioned as the spring clean up continues.
This course is the ugliest, least maintained grounds I've ever seen. The ponds even look like toxic waste site.
This course is the ugliest, least maintained grounds I've ever seen. The ponds even look like toxic waste site. Jaws needs to spend some bucks to fix this place up.
Short but a bit tricky!!!
I was most surprised by the speed of the greens. Traps were good consistency and all around the course was in fine shape for a course that gets a lot of play.
The back to back Par 5's on 9 and 10 are awesome.
This is a closeby course with a great staff and easily compliments the weekend golfer. Jaworski runs a really good program with the south jersey courses. If you book a tee time for 2 or 3, no issue if you find a 4th to bring along on gameday. Overall, good experience. Spend a lot of time on this course each summer.
Cold and Fantastic
Played this past Saturday, it was a balmy 30 degrees with a real feel temp of 20. Besides having to chip the permafrost away to get your tee in, the course was pretty much empty and we played 18 in about 2 hours and 15 min.
Course was in great condition for it being winter, and to boot I played pretty well.
Fun course, some challenging holes and a great buy.
Great time at a fun course
Valleybrook was a good time for me and my group. VB provided a relatively challenging course that allowed me to make use of almost every club in the bag. It was nice not to have to hit driver on every hole and was a good test of course management. Considering the time of year, I'd say this course was in far better shape than other courses I've played in the area. I would recommend this course to anyone and can't wait to play it again.
