We end up having a 5+ hour round because of an outting that went out just before we teed off. While outtings are not normally and issue for me, the fact that they had some many players and did not enforce the normal pace of play rules (especially if you have people who don't know golf etiquette) they don't know not to pick up other peoples teeshots and put them in their pockets. If it is not your ball, leave it alone. Way too many people to try and squeeze in extra tee times and make more $$ for the day.
Great Golf Course & Excellent Cart Service
Valleybrook Golf & Country Club delivers a thoroughly enjoyable and well-rounded golf experience, combining scenic beauty, challenging play, and exceptional course maintenance.
The layout is smart and varied, offering a solid mix of risk-reward opportunities, tight fairways, and elevation changes that keep you engaged from the first tee to the final green. The front nine eases you in with a friendly flow, while the back nine turns up the intensity with tighter landing areas and some well-placed hazards that test your strategy and shot-making.
The greens were in great shape during our round — fast, consistent, and true. Fairways were lush and well-maintained, and the rough was fair without being punishing. Hole 10, a picturesque par-4 with water in play off the tee, and hole 15, a demanding par-3 over a ravine, stood out as highlights.
The course winds through beautiful, tree-lined terrain that feels peaceful and secluded, even though it’s conveniently located. It’s a great walking course, but the carts are comfortable and equipped with helpful GPS.
Staff were friendly and professional, both in the pro shop and on the course. The clubhouse is inviting, with good food and cold drinks ready when you finish your round.
Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, Valleybrook offers a consistently rewarding round. Highly recommended for golfers of all skill levels looking for a well-run, scenic, and thoughtfully designed course.
Very Slow play...disappointing!
The foursome in front of us was extremely slow and not the best golfers, even with using the forward tees. 2+ entire holes open in front of them when we finished. The group in front of us quit after 12 due to the pace. There was no ranger to ensure steady play, but it may not have mattered as I understand the players were members. 9 minute tee time spacing didn't seem to be the issue but could be if members get slotted in without a tee time. I want to understand members should have privileges' but not at 12:00 Noon on a public course. The carts had a sign saying you should be on 4 hour round pace. Took us 5+. Waited for every shot, etc. It's a shame, nice course, nice greens, nice lounge with good food and cold beer! Nice staff. Note: I played this course 2 other times over the last few years without issue. Hoping this is a 1 time occurrence!
Valleybrook
We teed off about 25 minutes late due to an overcrowded golf course and there were no carts available when I got there, it was very poorly ran by management. The pace of play was awful and our round was about 5 and half hours. The greens were aerated about 10 days ago, which should have been done in March or April, not the end of May. Very disappointed and I won't be back anytime soon.
Good course
I got married here in 2018 and finally went back to play. All good experiences here, no complaints. I'll be back
Poor etiquette from players on the course and doesn’t restrict players from driving near greens/blasting music.
Bad experience
The worst tee boxes I have played in a while. We had to wait at least 10-15 min to hit each shot, and there was no one policing pace of play. We ended up playing a 5 and a half hour round of golf. I Willis not recommend.
Valleybrook 👎👎
1) Pacing: it rained earlier in the day. I suspect they allowed people to push back tee times. This created an almost 7 hour-18 hole golf nightmare for me & my group.
2) fairways on the back 9 were unkept & an absolute mess. I lost so many balls in the tall fairway grass. CUT YOUR GRASS!!!
3) Hole 17: it butts up to their driving range. I got hit by a ball. If my group hadn’t seen it, no one would’ve believed it.
The only positive part of this nightmare experience was friendly golf cart girls selling drinks.
Awful experience
1. I expected the course to be rough due to aeration BUT most fairways were unkept & had overgrown so you couldn’t find balls due to grass height ON THE FAIRWAYS. Cmon mow the grass & do better.
2. Hole 17… I got hit by a freaking RANGE ball. From their driving range. Thankfully my friend was with me to bear witness to it otherwise no one would’ve believed me.
3. Pace: it had rained earlier in the day… and instead of cancelling earlier tee times, I suspect that they let those folks on late. That caused MAJOR backups at every hole. IT TOOK 6 1/2 HOURS TO GOLF 18 holes BECAUSE OF OVERCROWDED TEE BOXES!!
I will NEVER RECOMMEND NOR play here again.
If I could give a zero rating, I would.
I spent a lot of money & really looked forward to this experience & Valleybrook let me down. Huge disappointment.
Horrible course
This course was one of the most not taken care of then any course I’ve played. It’s know different than the last time I played. The tee boxes were just horrible and the course itself hasn’t been professionally taken care of for years. It was just full of fungus dead grass and clover and weeds.
Horrible course conditions
This course is one of the worst maintained courses on golf now. It is filled with the most clover and weeds and all around lack of care. I haven’t played there for years because of these issues and I couldn’t believe it was just as bad as the last time I played. The last time this course seen fertilizer was when the dinosaurs roamed it.How cheap can you be to not manage this course
Tacchi
The course was in good shape, but they keep the rough long. Too many blind hole (by slope) that caused you in danger by other player they hitting the ball behind you. Also, many player hitting in your way from both side of the hole you are playing in so you always see other player in your direction. That's rude.
