Forge Pond
Good local course for a quick round of 9 or 18 holes. Would like to have seen more par 4’s and a par 5’s. Fairways were tight and well maintained. Overall a nicely kept course, not too challenging.
As advertised
Good short course. I played as a single and had a great round working on my game. Par 3s are like any other course (from 95 to 215 yards) and par 4s are narrow, making you hit the ball the appropriate length to avoid trouble. Twosome and foursome let me play through, which was fantastic.
Ocean County needs some more courses
Forge Pond is ok, farily well maintained Par 60. Course is no pushover as some holes are tight with lots of trees. If you like hitting driver, this is not your course.
new carts same bumpy path
very nice new golf carts but please fix the cart path between 1 2 and 3 must hold on tight or get thrown out if your a passenger
You get what you pay for
Overall course wasn’t in too bad of shape. Tee boxes were really beat up, I understand it’s a par 3 course so it’s understandable, but no areas were seeded or had divot mix dropped in. Greens were decent, but pace of play was terrible for the first 9 holes, it did pick up on the back 9.
Short but Tight
A par 60 with most par 3's in the 150-170 range. The 6 fours have trouble on both sides. If you are short and straight, this is the course for you. The staff was friendly but the pace was a bit slow. The course was in good shape but it is definitely a challenge for the not so straight golfer.
