Nice Course for the Golfer Just Starting Out.
Greens and Fairways were in Good Condition as was the Bunkers.
Senile ranger
Played this course for the first time today with a couple buddies. Great price for a neat course composed of mostly par 3s and a couple par 4s. However, on the fourth hole the course ranger came up to our group in the middle of our round without saying word. He walked onto the green as we were putting and then on his way off got in MY golf cart and drove away. After chasing him down past the next tee box he told me he was senile and had no clue where his cart was.
executive course tight fairways and greens.
Course is challenging due to narrow fairways and small greens. Took almost 4 hours to play a short course several slow groups. Course wasn't crowded just wasn't being managed. T
Fun course with lots of Par 3 holes
I really enjoyed playing this course. It struck me as having more Par 3 holes than most places I've played. But they were all great fun. I was a little nervous showing up solo, but the starter did a great job of pairing me up with a nice guy and a couple of young players. It was a great afternoon of golf, and you cannot beat the price! It was quite affordable!

Good value for the $$. Refine iron play and fairway club selection
Good value
Tight fairways. Short holes. Fun little course I'd gladly play again
Course greens are challenging
Have played this course several times. I believe the fairways are forgiving although putting is definitely challenging. Will definitely return in the near future.
Forge Pond
Great course to play at all 18 holes were tough but fun! Slow rate of play due to being busy and a par 3 course so there are a lot of walkers but still well worth the price on golf now!
Short but challenging
Great golf for your money, played two times and got great rates from Golfnow The greens where in great shape but seemed slow, the rough was tough, the fairways where also in good shape, Bunkers were OK a lot of bunkers were not raked, this could have been because there's only one rake per bunker, The grass on the tee boxes was a bit high. The course is tight and you'll lose golf balls if too erratic Pace of play on my first time there was really good, second round was a little slower but still not bad at all, The only thing I did not like was the lack of yardage markers on the front of the tee boxes
Nice day for a round of golf
I read the review on this course and decided to play a round of golf. Originally, I booked 18 holes with the golf cart, but only play 9. The price of golf and a golf cart was amazing. I basically paid for the golf cart and had a round of golf for free. The pace of play was very slow due to the poor pairing of mixed couples. The course was moderately hard due to very high rough greens. Some of the tee boxes were a little hard to distinguish because they weren't properly cut. At times while being on the tee box the grass was a little long. I use short tees so at times I was hitting it off the deck. Overall a nice course to play would play again hopefully the pace of play would be better.
Great bang for the buck!
Got this tee time as a "Hot Deal" on GolfNow for $20 (fees included). I have been struggling with my accuracy on my mid irons and wedges so I booked this short executive course with the hopes of working those clubs out extensively. There was very little traffic on the course the day I went and I was able to play at a very deliberate pace and play the same shot over and over if needed. The course was in good condition and I can tell that the grounds crew takes pride in their work.
great course
Great course for its value. Always in excellent conditions. Very narrow fairways which help if you're trying to straighten your swings out. Only downside is that there are no par 5s. Other than that its a gem.
Beautiful Course!
Well maintained course that might as well be a romp through the woods. Although heavily wooded I didn't lose as many balls as I thought I would. shorter than most but hole placement makes challenging
Pond has grown up
Haven't played here in over20 years still in great shape I need to start playing it again was a very right layout in great shape good place to work on your iron play
Perfect for combination of skill levels
Played with my girlfriend and a golf buddy and the course was challenging for all of us. Truly enjoyed the day of golf at old Forge golf course.
Nice bang for the buck
Course was in good shape. The greens were a little bouncy, they were just aerated, no spotting. Tight, tough course. Don't take out the driver. Will not be needed. I would recommend
I wait 10 plus minutes for each hole
It's not a bad course to practice your short game. But it's such a small course that in the weekends you have to wait so long per hole. The reason in my opinion they let walking foursomes out on the weekends and they hold everyone up. The course is small enough and to packed. If you play I suggest playing the week days. Other then that the course is usually in great shape and the staff areally great.
