Ocean County Golf Course at Forge Pond

I found that the course was too easy with mostly par 3's. I have a golf gps (golfbuddy) and found that the yardage by the course was way off from my gps. Even to the naked eye, you can see that it was further than stated. Otherwise, it had very narrow fairways with a lot of trees and deep bunkers. Greens were the most fun, full of undulations.

The course was in amazing condition.

The fairways are narrow which help to improve your short game. We moved along without any delays or hold ups and completed 18 hole in 3 hrs.

Alot of challenging par 3's. Good short game practice course. Wish it was closer.

It is a nice 3 par course with a couple of 4 pars thrown in. Nice quality the greens do not break at all but it is excellent for what it is.

though its a short course with many par 3s, it was in excellent shape. much better than years past. little slow with two groups of women who appeared to be beginners in front of us but enjoyable anyway

For a $20/ea deal on GolfNow, this course was excellent. Had a group of walkers ahead of us that spent 5-10 minutes on each shot/looking for their ball, but once we passed them it was a quick pace.

Condition of the course was great, and although it's a par 60 course and all par 3's and 4's, it's well worth the deal to work on a short game in narrow fairways and leave the driver at home.

Have played here before and would say it is a good short game walking course. all par 3 and par 4. Some well placed bunkers and narrow fairways make it interesting. The staff in the shop failed to mention that the greens and fairways had recently been aerated, which would have been nice to know. Good value for the money either way though.

They are getting the course in good shape. They were aerating the tee boxes when we played.Its. a nice executive course.

I had read good reviews of Forge Pond in the past and always wanted to play a round there. Got a great deal through Golfnow, so it was a good value. I was a bit unhappy with all the short holes, but it gave me a chance to use my irons more for practice. Narrow fairways made it a bit challenging. Course was in good shape and the staff was very cordial. Overall, a good experience and I will play Forge Pond again.

Great place to work on your short game or play best ball with a foursome . Would go back again to practice on short game . There was maybe 2 other holders on course the day we were there . Staff was great

This is a fun short course that makes you hit straight. Great Irons practice and challenging green surface. Will Make you better with irons if played a few times. Great staff and friendly people around to help !!!

This course is well groomed, tons of trees, cool hazards, fun to play with lots of shade

It's a nice place to get some irons practice and will definitely test your accuracy with narrow fairways and greens surrounded by trees and bushes. Its a good value as long as you don't pay more than $25 so take advantage of the deals. Keep the driver in the bag, the most you'll need is a 3 wood.

This is a corse that requires all iron shots and almost no drivers.

This course always humbles me. Although I am not a great golfer it always makes me shoot higher then you would think you should shoot on this course. I don't use a driver only 3 wood through my irons. Short par 4's but challenging. If you want to improve on your iron game this is the place.

Forge Pond is notorious for narrow fairways. Par 60 course that plays higher because of it. Course is in decent shape compared to earlier this year, greens are a little slow.
