Great course
Woodcrest is one of the nicest courses (public or private) in south jersey with its hilly (for south jersey) terrain. Even though they have recently gone public, the course remains in excellent condition. We played on 11/20, and it was actually in better condition than when I played in summer. They have repaired areas that needed attention, and the greens were immaculate. While we were playing, there were a lot of maintenance crew members laying new sod, removing trees, etc. It's very nice to see they are still willing to invest in the course. I will definitely be back next season, especially with some great golfnow rates they offer.
Super Course.
Bring your A game as course is every bit the 134 slope from the whites. Greens were firm, super smooth, and a pleasure to putt. Course conditions very good everywhere. First time playing here, and will go back very soon especially with the GolfNow specials.
True Test
Difficult course with impossible greens. Played it twice in late Oct and got my butt kicked both times. Above average conditions.
Course is excellent layout and enough challenge. Cart paths needs some work.

This course makes the player focus on every shot.
Very demanding course. A player will use all the clubs in their bag.Greens added to the challenge.
Love all the dog leggs
First time playing this course and would come back again. They have some great holes and a bunch of dog legs. Sand traps were some of the best I played in all year. Unfortunately my ball found them a lot. Wonderful finishing hole.
Green speeds similar to Trump National Philadelphia
Well maintained course but staff warned that the rough is kept at 3-4 inches year round which is almost penalizing. The course elevations are a surprise if you are only familiar with flat South Jersey courses. Most of the doglegs bend left which suited my slight draw nicely. If you're a less than 15 handicap the summer rate might be worth it. For us average players, it is a bit pricey considering that you may get frustrated on a few holes. Treat yourself to a round at the off-season rate and you'll be much happier. It is nice to have another good course available in this area. Can only hope that it remains undeveloped.
Very good course
Well maintained ,staff was very nice and helpful would deff play again
Great golf course, super fast greens
Well maintained golf course with some very hard holes.
Would play again
Woodcrest is a beautiful and challenging course. It is a must play!!!
Upon arriving at the club, I was immediately met by a friendly attendant who took my bag and got me set up. When I walked into the clubhouse, I was greeted by outgoing and enthusiastic staff members. They were polite, knowledgeable, and made me feel like a valued customer. The course and facilities are among the nicest that I have ever played. Everything is wonderfully groomed, and the greens are lightning fast and true! I plan on making Woodcrest a regular course on my rotation!
very nice course, friendly staff, nice local treasure.
looking forward to playing this again. challenging and forgiving course. and unexpected gem.
Truly a great course
After only my seventh round ever, Woodcrest has left an impression on this newb. Watching the ball land on a fairway and being able to see it from the tee box, unlike some of the moderately priced courses, means a lot. Greens are unbelievably quick and challenging. Elevation changes were a surprise for the center of Cherry Hill. Staff provided a private club feel.
Would be a shame to lose this wonderful course to the proposed housing. Will definitely return to this course in the future, maybe not as often as I would like, but will return so long as it's there.
Beuatiful course Very difficult
Bring your A game. The course is as tough as it is pretty. The greens are small, very fast and true. The rough is deep. Calls for accuracy and thought. The elevation changes will make you think you are NOT in Cherry Hill. It was a long round becuase of time looking for balls in the rough. I will defintely play this course again.
Excellent course - my first time there
Challenging course - fair but no easy holes, even the par 3s. Course in excellent shape and I hope it remains a course and they don't build the proposed 850 condos on it.
Deep rough, fast greens, private country club feel.
An excellent deal at the Golf Now rate, but normal greens fees are a bit too high even given the much better than average conditions you find with most public golf. Stray shots that find the rough here can easily become lost balls, so hitting a provisional if you're ball isn't in the short grass is advisable.
So happy now open to public!
Always heard terrific things about this course but was private until recently. Was able to finally try it as it became open to the public, and the reviews I heard were no exaggeration. Beautiful condition, challenging, yet playable. Will definitely continue to seek deals on Golfnow for this course and hope to frequent it.
Glad it's not private anymore.
I played this course once when it was private years ago, and now that it's public, it hasn't missed a beat. Fast and perfectly conditioned greens, and fairways and tee boxes were in great shape too. A good challenge, and try to play it before it possibly gets developed or goes private again. I played for $41 on a hot deal which was amazing value. For $125, as much as I liked it, I still wouldn't pay that. There are a few great courses down the shore you can play for half of that after summer is over.
Course in good shape!
Challenging for intermediate player, with undulated, firm & fast greens in real nice shape!
can't go wrong if the price is right
course is on of S Jersey's nicer public options, well groomed and well cared for
would look to go back and try it again
don't let the first 4 holes discourage you
Classic - Like Mozart
Smooth, aggressive, subtle, challenging... So very glad I got a chance to play here. This is old school at it's best. If I have a complaint, it's the cart paths. Dig them out and get rid of them! This is a walkers course, a dozen steps gets from green to next tee on many holes. The elevation changes are just enough to give the legs a workout without causing heart failure. The greens on the other hand just might... Subtle and sometimes not so subtle contours really hold your attention. Downhill putts just keep rolling and 8 foot come backs will roll straight to the hole if your nerves are still steady enough.
The fairways have suffered some damage spots from the weather this year, but are overall in very good shape. I wouldn't go so far as to call them generous however, a little control off the tee will go a long way here. The rough near the fairways is thick but fair, around the greens it gets pretty gnarly. Bunkers are large, deep, and plentiful. I took advantage of the opportunity to play out of several of them.
In all honesty, I would probably never played this course at full price. Not saying it would not be worth it, just not in my budget. I watched this site most of the Summer waiting to catch a really good deal, so very glad I did!!
