Value
Good value and good to excellent condition
Challenging but not overly difficult
Very impressed first time there
Well Done Cream Ridge!
Greens were in great shape. Though a little slow. They were cutting and rolling them after we played. Timing is everything. Thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. Especially since I had a Hot Deal. Definitely will play this course again.
A bargain at the price
Nice course. Played here many times. Course is in nice condition. However, pace of play was slow. T-Times 7 minutes apart. Too close..
Needs Work
Course was in good condition and was challenging/fun. However, it needs better management. Our tee time was running 45 mins behind, due to mismanagement. It was a busy day no doubt, but its simple math to ensure tee times stay on schedule. There were delays as early as 8am (told by a player who finished when we started) which speaks to the course allowing walk-on players and bumping the reservations. While this could be a blip, the kicker was the bad customer service and bad attitudes. I'm sure the staff was stressed by the situation, but I'm the customer - think how we felt paying for a service/reservation where the provider wasn't holding up their end of the bargain.
Interesting Layout
I very much enjoyed my round @ Cream Ridge. There were some interesting dogleg holes & changes in distance from short to long par fours. The greens were in great shape & offered challenging putts. I was quite disappointed with the tee shot on the 18th hole. There is so much overgrown bushes that block your tee shot. You can not see the fairway & with large trees lining the left side & very high overgrown bush straight ahead, your tee shot is totally obstructed. The hole is designed well with water running along the right side & a nice dogleg requires 3 shots to the green. The overgrown bush in front of the teeing area needs to cut down allowing for a tee shot down the left side of the fairway.
I would play this course again but....
I pulled up to the course with many people waiting for golf carts. The 2:00 tee time group went off at 2:30 and my 2:30 tee time was 20 minutes behind schedule. The guy running the carts was overwhelmed and was confused most of the time allowing for some golfers to be irate or frustrated with his lack of organization. The course was in good condition however the greens were slow. It's a very basic layout. I traveled 30 minutes to play this course, I might not do it again but could be persuaded.
All good
There was a backup due to limited carts but it really wasn’t too bad. Staff was apologetic & did what they could to keep things moving. They were great. Can’t wait to be back sometime this summer.
Great Foursome
Course is str8, nice water holes, Nice course, Paired up with some members, made it more Fun & Welcoming, Then the Rain came !! Worth every penny !!
Worth the trip
About an hour ride from BROOKLYN NY WAS DONE IN 31/2HRS
Fun and challenging
Really fun course. Some holes really make you question your club selection. Good food after the round. I'll.be back
TEE TIMES
8:30 tee time we went off at 9:15. Somehow tee times were booked 8:00 - 8:01 8:02 8:03 etc. 1 minute apart. How does that happen?
5 hr 25 minute round. Ridiculous. I did feel bad for the starter, people were giving him a hard time, it wasnt his fault but he handled it well.
beware
We did not play.As usual they overbooked and wityh a 90 min wait we went home.this place has had a history of horrible management!
Double Booked??
Well we booked the round thru GolfNow for 10:07– get there and there’s tons of people... the staff member said oh there’s new staff that accidentally booked too many people. How Does that even happen. Being that I had friends driving from Brooklyn and other places in N Jersey we said it was fine we were waiting an hour. From there we proceed to play the most dreadfully slow round.... 5.5 hours. ABSURD.
Great day
First time playing this course and it might be my new favorite. Greens very challenging and a couple challenging holes . Will definitely be back soon
