over booked?
Noon Tee time. Reserved on Golf Now a day in advance. Upon arrival you could see it was backed up. Went in to pay and was told to talk to the starter because they are prioritizing carts... never heard that one before. So I go to the starter and he says they dont have any carts and they are 45 minutes behind with others waiting with earlier tee times. But he said to go see what the guy inside says... I told him “funny thats what he told me to do with you”. So I go back inside and was essentially told they have no answers. So I ask if I can walk and just change the price... basically was told sure but you will have to rent a pull cart and guess what? Its the same price. I was asked if thats what I want to do and I said NO but I guess thats what I have to do. The guy with me said the same thing happened the last time he played there but they waited over an hour for a cart. And of course around hole 14 they came out and told them they had to return the carts because they were closing when it wasnt even dark yet. Pace of play was pathetic too.. 3 of us walking and STILL CATCHING THE TWOSOME WITH A CART IN FRONT OF US. I will never go again. Complete disaster and to not offer a free pull cart??? Cmon thats bush league.
Very much improved.
I haven't played this course since 2015. It was expensive and the fairways were crabgrass and burnt bare. The bunkers were full of stones and bees. I got a hot deal on golf now and decided to try them again. I'm glad I did. The course was in great shape. The fairways were beautiful, the bunkers were nice. The course was in great condition. The bar had patio seating and the bar tender and wait staff were extremely friendly. The bar tender came out and sat and talked to us about golf. Very good experience. Will return.
Golf
Coarse was in great shape for this time of year
Pace of play was excellent
becoming a fixer upper
granted it rained thursday, the course had a ton of wet, muddy spots. The fairways are becoming mostly mud and dead grass. the greens are in good shape. Unfortunately more a nd more "golfers" are coming here to drink and socialize, notmaintaining the pace of play, so the ranger is constantly put in the position to hurry these lagards. Its frustrating when you wait on every hole and the group in front of you has 2 open fairways in front of them.
Won’t Get Hosed Again
Had booked foursome through GolfNow. Paid for two carts. Needed a third for 70 year old playing it cautious, because of newborn grandchild. Hit w $20.00 ‘Upcharge’. Made me want ti ‘Upchuck’. About triple what other courses are charging. Golfnow needs to address this issue. Last time playing at Cream Ridge. Better values out there
not worth it
well lets start w tee times and groups...
if you have a time the course should be close to that but when you are out of carts at 10am thats a problem(not to mention the $20 extra if u want your own cart).
well I was only off my time by maybe 25 mins but was sent out as a single with a 2 in front of me... they were really bad..
I jumped them but now stuck behind 4s so it was wait ever shot (great way to get in a rhythm).
now for course...
not bad but would not say good
some tee boxes torn up or not there at all
fairway ok for most part
greens.....cant you fix your digits pls!!!!
was going to q uiii t after 9 but on turn to number 10....that was a 15 mins wait to tee off
joined 3 other that caught up to me
rest of day pace was ok
over all a 5 out of 10
Not following social distance or mask rules
We booked a threesome and upon arriving we’re told we had a single joining us, no big deal til my third goes to grab a cart and gets told no you gotta ride with the single.... because they had an outing booked and couldn’t afford the extra cart. And expect him to spy and extra $25 for a single cart when he shouldn’t have been expected to ride with a total stranger to begin with... the cart guy/starters was rude and completely oblivious to social distancing guidelines that most courses have in place. After the treatment we received this morning we won’t be booking this course again.
Course in good shape greens were slow because of rain. As per the covid they did not have enough golf carts so they wanted to charge you $20.00 extra to ride in your own cart. In these times I did not feel that was right. I think they should tell you before of the extra cost to ride alone
Not bad
Pros: course was in pretty good condition. Greens were in good condition just very slow. Fairways and tee boxes were ok. The pace of play was good. Finished in under 4 hours. It’s a short course, some gimicky holes.
Cons: more than one group with terrible etiquette. Some assh$le picked up my tee shot which was about 5 yards off of the fairway. I guess he couldn’t resist getting a brand new pro v1 for free. He got an ear full. IF ITS NOT YOUR BALL LEAVE IT THE F$#% ALONE.
Another genius shanks his tee shot onto our fairway, it happens. Not a big deal. But instead of letting us tee off he stands in front of his ball for 8 minutes while we’re waiting to tee off. I don’t understand who taught these guys golf.
Overall not a bad day. Not sure it’s worth the distance for me.
