Centerton Golf Club

The worst golf experience I've ever had in my life. For 65 dollars it's a joke of a course and a joke of a Management team. Only recourse is charge backs through your credit card. Called the pro shop on the front 9 to report a group of three hitting a minimum of 3 balls each from the blues that couldn't even reach the whites. No ranger ever came out. Watched the beer cart girl take multiple shots while we waited to tee off. Twice. 4 groups had to skip multiple holes to get away from the group. No round of golf should take 5 hours when there's multiple groups of three. Management refused to do anything during play or after. There's not a single golf cart that has a seat that isn't ripped open.

The course was laid out nice, the up keep was lacking , grass was so high was an Easter egg hunt in middle of fairway. The tee times were too much on top of each other they ran out of carts, 30 minute delay on scheduled tee time. We played average speed on the course and the group behind us kept playing up on us almost hitting us multiple times. The course lead asked if they could play thru which wasn’t an option due to us being right behind the next group that we gave the proper etiquette. No Range balls for driving range. The bar and food was great, BBQ was on point if looking for a place to eat.

They are letting some of the rough get more penal then in the past, especially some of the par 3's.. Maybe it is because of the recent rain, but keep your eye on the ball, least you lose it. Looking forward to playing it again real soon.

Greens in very good shape! Staff very friendly and helpful! Will definitely play there again!

I love the layout of the course. Where there is typically rough around the fairways all surfaces was hard pan. Greens were recently air raided and sanded which is to be expected this time of uear

There are far and few gems like Centerton GC. However this gem is beginning to see the effects of neglect and mismanagement. 1st the entire course needs to be aerated, seeded fertilized and kept watered. I don't mind the extra yards I get off the tee box but the fairways are as hard as concrete and devoid of grass.. same with the greens.. I've never had to repair a ball mark because the greens are so hard landing a ball from 50 feet up won't dent them. Secondly, the cart paths are just that, paths, please gravel them to ease up on some of the bone jarring crevasse, ruts and tree roots. Next, being a senior I've earned the right to play the forward tees. but lord all mighty I broke half a dozen tees just trying to get one in the rock hard ground.. These tee boxes should be maintained not differently than the blues or whites . Next, please get some sand in the sand traps.. here again their as hard as concrete.. This course has a good lay out and could be so much more than it is . And oh by the way, who's idea of a hotdog is the 1/4ld all beef log on a HOGGIE ROLL that your cart lady pedals.. NO NO.. NO.. a hot dog is a regular size blend of pork and beef, served in real HOT DOG BUN.. with a choose if more that just mustard . Lastly, Miller beer not just Miller Lite .

No sign for the course on the street. Drove past it twice before guessing the correct turn. Staff was great layout is as well. But the course conditions were horendous. Aside from aeration, which I cannot penalize them for, the fairways were devoid of grass and were as hard as concrete. Two of us in the group snapped shafts of irons trying to take normal divots. I heard this about the course but wanted to give it a try for $21. I'm sorry, but I cannot ever come here again.

Carts outdated, no usb ports to charge phone. Fairways terrible, weeds and dirt. Greens Bad, never rolled. Tee boxes hard to get tees in ground. Overall don’t think me and the boys will be back 👎🏼

Waited 45 minutes for a cart. They had 15+ broken ones, so everyone had to wait for groups to finish their round to get a cart. Foursomes had to wait for a second cart to become available. Senior tees were crap and so hard couldn't get a tee in the ground. No explanation of pin placements. Yardage markers were very difficult to find.

Won't go back there.

Wish the greens were in better shape. Very slow & bumpy. Only negative on the course.

This course is possibly the worst course in South Jersey. I know it is still early, but come on! Fairways are not fair, spotty at best. The greens were aerated, but still awful. There was hardly any sand in the traps. It was in the mid 80's, and no water jugs on the course. It all adds up to a very disappointing experience. Good thing I didn't pay too much. I guess that's why the course was fairly empty. 4 stars? Right. Will not play here again.
