The fairways are wide open...
1st time playing this course. $12 hot deal...couldn't beat it for the price. Nice course to go out and perfect your game. Not a top notch course but for $12 it was worth it. I will go back if I get another deal that good.
worth the trip
It has probably been 25 years since I played here and I remembered nothing. I came away pleasantly surprised playing on Memorial Day for 40 bucks that included a beer and a hot dog. The course is straight forward and fun and not long but it was soaked from rain the day before and it played long this day. The greens were smooth and rolled fine on the slow side. I would have no problem going back. The course is mostly tree lines but it is so wide open that they rarely come into play.
Needs some work
This is not a bad course, but the downside during our round was that the grass is not well managed. Lots of long grass and thick clover everywhere. Also the sand traps were rock hard and not raked. On the upside it was not crowded and I was able to get in 18 in about 3 1/2 hours.
Bababoooyee
The course was in pretty good shape even though there'd been a lot of rain prior to tee time sand traps could use some raking and the 9th hole Snack Shack should be open other than that a very good course for a fraction of the price of a running deer or White Oaks. How ard sterns peanuts.
Nice time
Great time everything went good, Stay out of the rough
Mow the Tee boxes.
This course wasn't horrible. The greens were great but the tee boxes were terrible. The grass was 6 inches tall and very bumpy on the tee box's. Honestly the course put no effort into fixing it because all you have to do is regrade the dirt and re seed the tee box. Do half a tee box at a time again tho the greens were great for a below average course. Keep that up.
Good course for average golfers
The course was in good shape, considering the amount of rainfall in the previous 12 hours. Greens rolled nicely. Fairway grass was a little long (no doubt due to weather) but in good shape. The course is mildly challenging to the average golfer but not too difficult.
Good course
Great course for the money. It had been aerated but there was no price adjustment which was somewhat annoying, but the price is still great. It's a nice fairly easy course we really like playing here but my biggest complaint is the pace of play. I would not recommend playing here if you are by yourself and looking to get a quick round in because there is no ranger and foursomes don't really let you play through all that much. Everyone takes their time and there is no rush, which I have no problem with but at least let people play through when they want to move faster. Overall though it's a good course at a fair price
Overall
Overall Course in good shape....greens were very slow. Looks like they aerated about two ago and they are letting the greens grow....probably needed to be rolled...fairways were decent shape...most time the lies in fairways were ok but few times you needed to give yourself a better lie due to bad turf...
Nice course overall....I would play it again
Good condition for early season
Very windy but overall course in decent shape for early March
A Pleasure to play
A very pleasant experience from start to finish. For the price, this course exceeds all expectations . Wide open fairways, holes sitting alone, not the back and forth that a lot of places have. The few doglegs they do have are by design and not out of necessity to fit 18 holes into land only large enough for 15. Played in February so conditions were fine for this time of year. Course has no surprises all the hazards are there to see, hit it strait and then hit it strait again and soon you'll be back on Almond Rd.
Disappointed in the greens
I was disappointed in the greens as the ball didn't run true. It seemed the area near the cup was not smooth and the ball made small quick unpredictable turns as it rolled near the cup. I was very disappointed in the 10 to 20 foot area surrounding the green. Whenever I had a short chip up towards the green, the ball seemed to deflect off of either grass clumps or major imperfections in the area surrounding the green throwing my ball off even though I had struck it directly at the pin.
course is nice
i went on golf now in the morning and decided to play golf. the price was great and the course was in pretty good shape. i understand there were leaves on the course but it is december and overall the course was in very good shape..
Good course to play
The front 9 Fairways were not that great but the back 9 Fairways grass much better. The course had lots of leaves and some of the carts don't accelerate well.
A bit rough, but not bad
I usually enjoy this course and have played it often because of the price. It is a good value for the price, but not a great course. Some fairways and tee boxes were spotty, clumpy rough. The greens were OK. Like many courses, some golfers don't fix their pitch marks. Golfers should take a test on golf etiquette before they are allowed to play (my opinion). It may just be the season, but I have seen this course in better shape. But, all in all, not too bad. Finding balls in the fallen leaves was a chore - lost a couple.
