Spring Meadow Golf Club

This course has a nice layout but it seems whenever August rolls around many tee boxes lose their grass and crabgrass starts to permeate the fairways.

The front 9-holes are extremely easy. The Greens on hole #1 need some TLC. Greens on hole #9 were perfect.
The back nine holes are a challenge. A lot of trees and closeness of fairways to previous hole raises a concern. Paired-up with another golfer on hole #11 and we had great conversation to the end.

The Atlantic Golf Management Company has managed the course for New Jersey now for a few years and have brought it back. The greens are in great condition, albeit a bit slow for my taste. I think they keep them a bit long for durability and resistance to heat. The fairways are equally nice and eventually the teeing grounds and some esthetic improvements will finish the rehab. It's evident they are rolling a lot of money back into the course!

great value and tee box 2 green great shape. For amount of traffic. Great staff that was VERY GRACIOUS.

Very disappointed in the overall quality of the course. The tee boxes and cart paths were terrible. The greens were patchy, dried out in areas. Fairways and rough were a bit inconsistent and mediocre at best. Also, the course website made no mention that the greens were recently aerated. The course has a some challenging holes, but the playing conditions make it difficult to enjoy them.

I really like this course, but there was a problem with the booking. I read a review with a similar problem, but assumed that it would've been rectified. It was not. They honored my reservation, but said it wasn't in the computer. We were very thankful, and had a great round.

I booked this tee time through Golf Now (as you can see) which advertises a discount off of the regular fee.

Upon arrival, I was told they knew nothing about it and proceeded to charge me the full fee (times 2) which resulted in a $20 increase over the advertised fee on Golf Now.

I have booked this way many times in the past without a problem. I play this course at least 30-40 times a year.

Needless to say, I ma very disappointed in the result this time. I am now forced to have American Express decline any charges for this transaction.

Course is in good shape with exception of the first green. Friendly staff, some holes are challenging but overall a great golf course. I've played this now several times and enjoy it each time I go out.

Fairways nice and in good shape, Rough was a bit high and tended to slow up play - cutting it a bit shorter would remedy looking for balls that were a pace or two off the fairway. Greens were average speed however it appears that few if any (besides myself) players fix ball marks on the greens. Tee boxes are fair for the most part but there are a few that could use some serious work and the same for the cart paths. You can damage a kidney on some of them. All in all the course itself was in much better shape than the last time I played here a year or so ago. I was hooked up with 2 other guys who were also singles and had a nice day on a beautiful October day.

The course is very challenging and well maintained. The greens are hard to hold and putt, you earn your score. The pace was a little slow but overall a fun day of golf. The staff is super friendly.

Average fun course. Very bumpy cart paths that never seem to be maintained.

Greens were OK. Tee boxes varied from good to poor.

Signage and routing was the major challenge. Cart paths poorly defined. You need GPS to find some tee boxes. Too many blind shots and forced carries for the occasional golfer. Not a day at the beach for those folks. The sand in the traps was Jersey pure, fluffy and plentiful. The course needs a major re-do as several teeing areas bring you into play with the adjoining fairway.

Spend the extra dough and go to other nearby courses especially if you are a single digit player.

Spring meadow used to be in very bad condition but they have made a lot of progress with the fairways. Some of the greens are still sub par but they have done a great job considering they have no irrigation

It was a great weather day. Greens were not kept up as there was not much consideration for divot repair. Though play time was reasonable there was no enforcement or ranger to ensure "slower or inexperienced players" kept pace. other than that water stations were available and it was enjoyable.

Really enjoyed this course. Booked through GolfNow for around $40 a person (18 holes, cart included) for me, my dad and brother. Paired with a local single who had some knowledge of the course, which was very helpful. Played on Memorial Day weekend and thought course would be packed but we got out earlier than our tee time and finished 18 in a little over four hours (had a very slow group walking in front of us). Course was in great shape aside from a few tee boxes, which were a mess because of rain. Was able to reach the green on the elevated par-4 with my drive (after sailing my first ball into the woods of course). Lost a nice amount of balls that day but course sets up well for the intermediate golfer. A couple of really memorable holes with nice views. Greens moved fine, not too fast or slow. 100-yard par-3 was fun. Front nine is wide open and sets up for scoring, back nine gets a little more woodsy. Staff was friendly and little bar/restaurant next to clubhouse was very welcoming. Would like to play some of the other nearby courses but wouldn't hesitate to come back to Spring Meadow, especially with the GolfNow deals.

It seems like the staff doesn't appreciate your business if you come with a GolfNow coupon, they acted like you were beneath them. We went to the front desk at 11:30 for our 12:05 prepaid tee time (the desk was clear and no one was waiting) , we were told to come back in about a half hour ???? 12 o'clock??? Not much time to load up. When we returned, at 11:55 the cart key was thrown across the desk at us and were told to start whenever !

Interesting holes but the layout is dangerous, double back into shooting groups !

Course is in very good condition.. greens are consistent (can't say this about every course), the rough reasonable (not too long, but present a challenge if you are in it), and with the exception of a real bad drainage problem on the 18th, the fairways are in decent condition. I was also pleasantly surprised by the pace of play yesterday, considering the beautiful weather; we finished in under 4 hours (unusual for central New Jersey courses).

Not in great shape. There are many tight lies in the middle of the fairways. Around the greens not any better. For the $$ I guess it's worth it.
