One of many scenic holes at Spring Meadow Photo submitted by Cory3302115 on 06/23/2014
Average
Tee Boxes are in terrible shape.
Course layout is unsafe. Fifth Hole is currently the 1st hole. Multiple times, driving to the next hole, you drive at another tee box. One hole, to cut the corner of the dogleg, you have the potential to hit your tee shot over another green, while golfers are putting.
Happy Playing
It was great to play again at Spring Meadow. Glad they are back. Love the new layout. Pace of play was great. The tee boxes need some TLC but overall very good conditions.
Will be back to play soon. Welcome back and good luck for the future.
Course Conditions
Fairways good
Greens good but a little slow
Tee boxes are in terrible shape, mostly dirt, no exaggeration.
Cart paths full of potholes
Bunkers are not groomed.
Course is filled with trees that were cut down but were not cleared.
Not a good value. Expected more from new management and the higher greens fees.
Great course need signs
This was my first time ever playing this course. The staff was amazing and can’t say more better about them! Course needs to put better signs and directions for holes. Got lost multiple times heading to next holes. Overall give this course a 4.5/5
Trending upward!!
Played at this course quite a few times over the years. With the new ownership, they’re putting great care into the course. The staff is friendly and prompt with keeping things moving at a good pace. In a few weeks this course will be one of the nicer public courses around
moving on up
the new management is doing a great job restoring this course the fairways and greens are the best I've seen here in long time and getting better every time I go love it and the staff are excellent 2 thumbs up I would give ten if I was all thumbs
Under construction
Staff is super friendly and nice but they are currently under and there is zero signage to actually help you make your way around the 9 open holes. Also the gps mapping is off which made it very annoying.
poor condition
T boxes were bare Fairways were marginal no maintenance on the course
Under new ownership/management
Hopefully they can restore what was once a beautiful public course from its current state which has become less than ideal playing conditions with tee boxes and greens needing a lot of attention. Love the layout of the course, and would love to add it to our regular rotation, however it would be nice to see some much needed improvements to overall course conditions.
Enjoyable round
The course was bought three weeks ago. New management has already done a lot of NICE improvements tot he grounds. The actual course layout, starting hole has been changed. I loved it! fairways and rough are already improving. Greens and bunkers are in good shape. Fresh cut in/edging in bunkers, rocks are being removed as well - FINALLY! Can't wait to see this place by mid-summer. Please stay a public course...
Good public course for all golfers
Spring Meadow golf course is a nice public course for all golfers. The layout is fine with some challenging holes. As more of a hacker, I appreciate the ability to practice more here. The course is in pretty good condition as well - fairways and greens.
New management team and staff creating a new gem
The new management team and staff are doing a tremendous job getting this course in shape. Only 2 months into their contract and have made outstanding changes to the course. The greens are beautiful and the staff is working so hard getting this course back into pristine shape. The staff is extremely courteous and professional. Having played this course for many years I am so gratified to see how the new management team is so focused on improving the Spring Meadow experience. The director of golf , Sean, is so professional and conscientious and you can see how that influences the whole staff Being a previous business owner, I can attest to being blessed to have employees like this. This course is only going to get better and better as time goes on. This management team and staff are moving quickly and efficiently to make this course one of the tops in Monmouth County.
Course in terrible shape and rude golf Director
The course has changed ownership and they failed to honor a gift card I had from the prior owners. I spoke with the director of golf who is extremely obnoxious and rude when I asked him to honor the gift card. He told me to go to another course and they would honor it. I I explained to him the course he was recommending is not on the gift card. He told me if I’m not happy to not come back to his course! So I won’t go Go back! We golf there 10 to 15 times a year. They’ll lose revenue of approximately $2800 – $4200 per year. I’m sure if the owner of the golf Course was there he would’ve honored the gift card. The director is so shortsighted and arrogant that he doesn’t understand what good customer service is. I hope the new owner finds someone that has a focus of customer service and can keep up the course in much better shape than it is now. There were no rakes at the sand traps, there were rocks in the sand traps, and they were also flooded. Greens were in poor shape as well. This course is definitely not worth the $69 per round! STAY AWAY!!!
Over priced, Needs time
This course change hands this year and it's apparent they need time on learning how to maintain a course. A few positives would be the newer carts and driving range mats and balls, but not much more there. Hard to see a difference between rough and fairway, greens were in good shape. Will give it another shot in 2026 but money better spent elsewhere this year.
