Pinch Brook Golf Course in Florham Park may be a short course, but it should not be underestimated. The layout offers all the challenges of a championship course conveniently wrapped in an executive-length course. Water hazards come into play on nearly every hole, including a pond on the seventh that is shaped like the state of New Jersey. The elevated and undulating greens putt fast and true. They present a test for even the most seasoned golfers. The par-3 holes are particularly tough. Most of them feature strategically placed bunkers fiercely guarding the double-tiered greens, that or a forced carry. The golf course is great for honing your short game skills or for squeezing in a quick but challenging round. Pinch Brook G.C. is hailed by locals as the best short course in northern New Jersey.

Everything was amazing except the starter
The starter honestly ruined a 5 star rating. He seemed like he was living out a childhood dream of being an angry middle school principal. Yelled at us for the smallest things like walking to the first tee when we were starting on 10 (because he didn’t tell us) then we tried getting the last hole in before walking into the club house and just as I was about to hit my tee shot he boldly drove his car in front of me and wouldn’t let us finish. Telling us we need to start looking at the time that sundown is or else he would lock our cars in the complex. Other then Oscar the grouch the course and clubhouse staff were amazing. Pace was good. Grounds were well kept. They just need to fix the one angry elf

Beautiful executive style golf course. Very nice fairways & fast greens. Tee boxes in good shape.
Early morning play is best. Worth your time.

Tee boxes, Fairways, Greens were in great condition for what I would consider a busy public course. Would gladly re-visit many times over.
Great Course Anytime of the Week
Great course, nice layout and great pace of play. The only issue I would bring up regarding this course is the bunkers. There is little to no sand throughout, which makes bunker play almost impossible. Other than that, this course is always in amazing shape and one that I plan on playing regularly.
Starter with attitude
Unless it’s a scramble type outing I generally like to start at hole #1. My group of 4 went to hole 1 because the very angry starter never told us anything different. He started yelling at us because we went to hole 1 not in a nice way either! It set the tone and no one had a good round because of it. I’m 51 not 15 treat us with a little more respect. Not to mention not worth $54 could have gone elsewhere for less.
Course is Mediocre
Not worth your money, weekend rate is $63 walking and the course is small, tight, lots of hazards. Greens were awful and the staff was not very friendly. They acted like they were a private country club
Yeah well listen more closely next time.
