I liked the course layout, fairways and greens in wonderful condition. Shout out to Ron in pro shop. Very helpful as this was my first time playing this course. Will absolutely play here again.

Golf now and golf course doesn't match
I was looking to play hopewell Valley course bc its in great shape and usually not bad priced. So looking on golf now it gives you 2 prices at the same time for 2 different prices. And both say walking ?? So thinking its like other golf now prices and the higher number is with a cart. Booked it and show up to the course to have tje gentleman in the clubhouse tell me it would be an additional $16 for 1 person to ride in the cart. Making my round $73 instead of $57 on a hot deal???? But the money isn't the point its why are they different and why isn't there a riding rate?? And who is in the wrong here???

Course was in good shape. Fairways were very nice, greens were in good condition, overall the course is excellent. Could use some water in the ball washers? Maybe widen the space between tee markers?. Evidence of improvement from when they first opened. Keep up the good work.
Great Old School Course
Hopewell Valley is a former private club in the hills of NJ. Mercer County golf has taken over this course and they are doing things right. The course may not have top class private course conditioning but with the amount of play they are close to it. The pro shop , starter, and clubhouse employees were all helpfull and pleasant. I hope to play another round here on this beautiful course.

Quite nice
I played 7/26/23 2:40PM. It was my first time. Course was in very nice condition. There was a slow group but there was a golfer with a drastic physical handicap so I had no problem with that. Some nice elevation differences and doglegs. On the easier side but still enjoyable for me. I would definitely come back.
It was very hot, I was walking, I do wish there were water jugs out on the course though.
Very Good Golf Course
The layout is awesome, and a lot of the holes off of tee will make you think. They have a grass driving range so get there early for your tee time. Course was in very good shape even after a lot of rain.
This course back in the day was private and you can tell from the clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts, etc.
Worth the trip from Bergen County.
Make sure you go to Conte’s after your round. Amazing pizza, and I ranked it a 9.1. Barstool Sports ranked it a 8.9. 10-15 drive from the course for your “19th hole.”

Not a drop of water to drink on the course. The pandemic is over. Put out some water jugs.
