Still decent after all these years.
Hanover is a respectable, challenging course with wide fairways and can play very long from the blues. Greens are in great shape, but severe slopes everywhere can be deadly. Mostly flat on front, but then gets quite hilly on the back. Very good value for the money as it seems they finally have a management company that wants to put it into top shape.
When you first arrive you may think what the heck? A maintenance/cart storage facility that looks like it going to collapse any minute 😕.
However, the course is in fantastic condition. So don't let the parking lot and immediate appearance on arrival make you think twice. Yes, I plan on playing golf here more often and bringing along a fellow golfer. The only draw back is the lack of a starter to greet you.
Definitely go again!
Staff was very friendly and helpful! Course is beautiful. Nice open fairways with some nice water hazards. Tricky greens! Great for all skill levels.
Great greens, course seems to be getting better by the day, the girl in the club house is wonderful!
Great Value
Played the course on Oct 1, 2023 with my two sons (19 and 17). Course was in great shape and pace of play was outstanding. A great layout with some nice elevation and tricky holes. Only down side lack of a driving range to warm up. Overall beautiful course, nice staff and great value! Highly recommend.
Best conditions ever
I've been playing this course since 2003 and this is the best conditions this course has ever been in. Every bit of this course was perfect. The rough here is usually very high and hard to get out of but, this time the rough was at a normal length for rough. I don't play this course alot but, I was very pleased with this new look. I was told that a new management company was doing the maintenance now. I don't know if that is true or not but, the course is in the best shape I ever played it.
Always a good time
For mid September you'd be hard pressed to find a course in better shape in the area.
