Knob Hill Golf Course

Definitely will okay here again! Friendly staff! Very clean carts with the course hole by hole yardages and layout definitely a help.

Course is in great shape for this time of year.

Cart paths only which is part of the reason for the current conditions. Pro shop stated that if the current weather trend continues that carts should be allowed on the grass as soon as the grass starts growing.

The only complaint that I have is that they raise their rates when the weather is good. I locked in at $45 on golfnow but the day after I booked it went up to $57 due to the forecast.

Fun layout, new carts with a cool GPS system, incredibly knowledgeable staff i spoke too in the pro shop. Great practice green with a small chipping bunker. I will be back

Played after a rainy day previous day. Fairways were wet, water logged..tee shots were plugging. Greens were decent condition considering its Jan, tricky and a bit bumpy. Many tee grounds were under repair, covered up. Not too long but need to be accurate off the tee.. would come again when course gets drier.

Great value for money in winter and regular green.

This was my second time playing Knob Hill and the will wait another long while before going back. For this round there were way too many people on the course because it was a near 50 degree day on December 28th. I head a guy in the Pro Shop day they had 120 rounds today and that comment was at 2:15pm. Add to that they had a frost delay and cart path only and it made for an extremely slow round. I was walking anyway so the CPO didn’t effect me, but waiting before every shot was causing my playing partners fits. We played the front nine in 2 hours and 40 minutes. When we got to 10 and saw players waiting on the tee, in the fairway and on the green, we decided to play the front nine again. Doing that took us only 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The course conditions were okay and my only grip would have been the conditions of the bunkers and the slow greens. These two issues meant players were not taking the bunkers when they left and not fixing their ballmarks on the greens.

I have been playing this course all my life. Back in the late 70's, my friends and I would get our parents to drop us off at the course for the day and pick us up at dusk. That was back when the snack bar was a vending machine under the big tree up on the hill. (still there between #1 and #10 tee boxes) I continued to play here after they did the renovation and it was a huge improvement from the old layout. I took a 20 year break from golf and am just starting to play again so It's been about that long since I played here last. Boy oh boy has this course matured. What a beautiful place and the conditions are unbelievable for the end of November ( or anytime for that matter). The greens rolled true.... the fairways are in fantastic shape. The bunkers were a little wet in places but it is almost December.

I played like crap but it was not due to the conditions of the course, it was all about my 20 year hiatus. A big thumbs up to the grounds crew. The staff in the shop was super nice and gave us the heads up that they were running a little behind due to frost delay, we were very early so they gave us a cart to load up and have a comfy seat while we were waiting. Once we got off it was a very enjoyable 4 hour round.

The course is very well kept. No problem with leaves. Very quiet for a Saturday. I'm glad they started offering 1 player bookings on Golf now.

I have played Knob Hill a few times and have never been disappointed with the conditions. Even now in the fall with the leaves falling the have the course in good condition. Challenging holes with water hazards. Staff is helpful and friendly

Course was in excellent shape. No leaves, really played well, with some challenging holes. Definitely will come back.

Not for the faint of heart. Really well laid out great staff. Wish there was an actual driving range otherwise great day

Great course conditions, and good variety in the layout.

course is beautiful, holes are fun yet challenging with the occasional par 3 mixed in. course, fairways and greens in excellent shape, and they even had a food cart making the rounds.

loved the fact that there was a gps in the cart that kept score, and kept track of pace. Only negative, at one point i was 12 minutes ahead, and still had clowns behind me whistling and yelling to move along on the 12th hole, but thats not on the course thats on humanity.

if i lived closer i would go again.

I played this course twice in the last 8 days. Firstly, the course is fantastic and in great condition. The layout is interesting and makes you think which club to use off the tee - its not all driver.

The ranges who met us each day were very pleasant and provided good information about course and the carts.

Now for Pace of Play (or lack of it) Todays game was awful. Our Tee time was 8:32, we arrived early and were ready to go. We then have to wait on the tee for about 20 mins as apparently a group had arrived late and had been squeezed in. The 4 ball group in front of us then proceeded to take over 20 mins to play the first hole and had no idea on golf etiquette. They drove right next to the green and each took at least 10 strokes and insisted on putting the ball into the hole. By the time we had finished the 1st hole and driven to the 2nd they were still on the tee with nobody in front of them !!

After being allowed through (reluctantly) we moved ahead at a reasonably pace (bearing in mind there were 3 & 4 ball groups in front of us). When we were walking off the 9th, we are then informed by the course ranger that the club pro wanted us to skip the 10th and go to the 11th to speed up play !! Hilarious, did the club Pro not realize there were groups already ahead of us on the 11th and he did not even have the courtesy to come to speak to us himself (as you can imagine - we ignored him !!) The back 9 was not too bad but for a 8:32 tee time we did not finish until after 1:20 !!

As I say - course is great but be prepare for a slow round of golf
