Top course in New Jersey
Knob Hill is one of the best courses to play in NJ. You are always met in the lot by a starter or cart manager who asks you your time and brings your bags and the cart up to the check in for you. The carts have a screen in them with your yardages, flyovers of each hole as you pull up and your pace of play. Today it rained out of nowhere and made for a wet round for us. Luckily we were able to get 18 in, in about three hours flat (two some)
Greens were pre or post treated for aeration (not quite sure) which definitely hurt play around the greens but that is to be expected around this time of the year.
Will certainly get back soon as it is a short trip from NY. Ralph the starter was helpful and friendly!
Course is still in winter mode
Course layout is always fun to play, but needs work to get ready for play when the weather gets better.
tee boxes were a little rough and still some sand on greens but fairways were in great shape
Don't be...
...fooled by the yardage. This course is challenging.
Slow play
Only tee time available is 2:40 pm. Never get to finish. Gets dark on back nine. Residents in community just start walking on and start playing. You pay and resident golfers just walk on in front of you and delay play.
Cart Path Only
Course was drenched and muddy in spots. Greens had many ball divots not repaired. No warning of Cart Path Only when i booked online and course had no advisories on their website concerning conditions or cart path only.
Tee boxes were beat uo some were bare no grass and muddy.
Grateful i didn't pay full price ..

It is always better to be on the golf course than at work. It was no different at Knob Hill. The conditions were good, weather was warm with a great breeze, but it is summer time. The course had just been air-rated other than that it was is good condition. The sand traps were in good condition especially with all the rain we have been getting. I would recommend playing this course. It was the first course I played which had the screen play tablets in the cart. Great tool to use for your round!

Course was in great shape Tee to green no complaints other than ball marks not being repaired

Highly recommend the course. Played after heavy rains and drained extremely well. Thought the back nine was more scenic and unique than front nine. Although a few tee boxes need some work would definitely play again and worth the hour drive. Pro shop staff very friendly and helpful
