Course has declined over the years
I have played this course maybe 20 times in the past 3 years, however this is the last time I will go. The course has changed ownership, and changing many once-great things about the course to very poor. For example, the rate of play was horrible. There was no ranger to be found, and no starter. After you checked in, it was a free-for-all. After the 5+ hour round , I tried to go to the resturant for a beer and a burger (they used to have great food there) but I was told that only social members could drink there. Unreal. Would never come back. Its a shame because I loved playin that course, and I am a local so its near to my heart.
Fun layout
Fun course, very forgiving, good scoring course. Greens are on the smaller side and in good shape. Will certainly play again
Kings Grant The Links Course
Well another course has changed hands and this one had just switched ownership today. That being said some normal disturbances happen which are to be expected.
For having so much rain, the course was relatively drained due to the sandy nature of the area. This meant no fairway streams.
When we finished we went to the 19th hole and had some refreshments and food. Both were enjoyable.
A good round for the money. Definitely will return.
Deceptively good
Driving up you think that this course would be in bad shape. However, after the range, which is an all grass tee area I was pleasantly surprised. The course is predominantly flat with some water challenges. The scorecard gives an accurate idea of how the hole is laid out. I would play here again. My only complaint/suggestion would that he staff in the pro shop could be friendly. The man at the register acted as if I was inconveniencing him.
When is a Hot Deal not a Hot Deal?
This course is fun and generally a good deal. I recently played this course on a Hot Deal for a reasonable greens fee for a moderate course.
When I arrived, I was told that the course had been recently aerated and that the back 9 was closed. I was allowed to play the front 9 twice. The front 9 had also been aerated recently. The greens were bumpy and barely playable. None of this was disclosed in the Golf Now app. Courses should disclose when their discounted 'Hot Deals' are a function of current substandard course conditions. Golfers have a lot of options. Occasionally, discounted prices in exchange for rustic conditions are appropriate Unusual course conditions should not be disclosed after arrival at the course when fees have already been payed.
The Links is worth playing under average conditions. I recommend that you call before you commit to a transaction for this course on the Golf Now app.
Excellent condition
Although the back nine was closed in the morning we enjoyed the conditions of the front nine. When we left at 3 pm the front nine was closed. Thinking we should have been able to play the whole course. We’ll catch the back nine next time. Definitely worth another trip. Corse was well kept
Winter Golf
I got a great hot deal $15 for a round of golf in winter so no brainer, I have played this course before and gotta say the welcome I got was less than when I paid full price, think they should be grateful anybody plays less than 40 degrees. It was very quiet and I did not have to wait at any holes so that was a bonus. The bad was there were no Tee box markers at all guess you just decide where you want to hit, which is great except if you don't have a range finder then have no idea how far hole is, which brings us to the holes, there were 2 of them at every hole, one with flag in and another unfilled in hole. I guess you could play either one, but I played the one with flag and the other hole got in the way several times. There was not one rake to be found on whole golf course, which saved me time raking, but had to hit out of footprints. I hope they just gave up for winter and going to revamp for spring as it is a decent course and not crowded, but won't pay full price if going to be the same as today.
Nice course poor staff
Ok, booked my round arrived and unload my car. Walked in to the Links and the guy told me that there no carts and I stated that I just pass the carts in the parking lots so he said they were there for previous booking. Will I booked but it didn’t seem to matter. In my place of business if one of my employees treated a paying customer that way I would fire him immediately.
A little gem
The Links Golf Club started you out with shorter manageable holes that made you stop and think how to play the hole. As it turned out, it was just a warm up to a very challenging back nine. The course is tight and narrow and extremely challenging on windy days
Agreed!
Freezing fun
Felt good just getting a round in. Great value out at The Links and we enjoy it each time we go.
brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
The course was in pretty good shape. thank goodness the bar was open, I stopped after nine as my hands were freezing and my gloves were basically useless. A bar patron who didn't know me gave me hand warmers for the back which I played after having a couple of cold ones.Ironically I did the hot deal from golf now! I guess it was worth it , I'm still thawing out. I'll be back soon but I don't know if playing golf will be included in the next visit. Thanks again.
Quality course
Great course to work on your game. Not very challenging, but great to use to practice for more difficult courses
Not happy with treatment from management
It appears that there is a double standard for those who get a hotdeal and play the course.
quality public course for to practice on
staff is very friendly and always has been Ive played here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. With that said, the course in general does need some maintenance but still playable and enjoyable.
It's an Ok course
Course is in ok condition for what it is. Pretty sandy in certain places but definitely playable. If you can get the golf now deal then play the grass out of the course but I wouldn't spend 50 dollars to play on a normal day. Much nicer courses around the area for less.

The course only has so many golf carts. On a busy day the course has to make sure it distributes carts to the earlier tee times first. I'm going to assume the carts that were in the parking lot were for people that had a tee time before you.
