Shameful
For playing golf in Bergen County New Jersey on one of the hottest days of the year zero water on the course. When asked staff why no water on course?
Staff member “per covid the county doesn’t want us to put water out “. This is laughable and shameful disgrace for one of the richest counties in the nation.
Water should have been given to players at no cost.

Terrible conditions
They have got rid of all the bird poop on the course which is good haven’t been here for years but the course conditions are terrible the fairways are faster than the greens fairways are all burnt up tea boxes are terrible and the greens are very slow

Far from good.
Very narrow fairways, up keep is next to zero, very old and hasn’t been updated in years. On the driving range you use your own balls and have to fetch them…this is a joke. No water anywhere on the course except bottles at the 9th hole. They look like they bought this business and do nothing to keep it up. Poor course.

Decent course overall
Decent course overall. Rough is inconsistent at times, with large areas of clover growth. Greens were in OK condition. They rolled alright, and were a bit slower, which is something I prefer for public/muni courses to keep pace of play up.
Definitely had some picturesque holes, especially on the back nine. From a strategy perspective, unless you're extremely long off the tee, there are a number of forced layups.

HORRRIBLE, RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE RANGERS
The course is nice and well maintained, however all of that was ruined by incompetent and rude rangers on the course who go out of the way to harass you and interfere with your enjoyment of the round. I get it, they have to do their job, but these rangers are completely clueless. The first encounter was when I was preparing to hit on the 12th hole and the ranger rudely drove up on me, causing me to have to back off my shot and then proceeded to drive in front of me and circle back around for no apparent reason. The ranger was completely oblivious to me trying to play my shot and it was very distracting. My second encounter with the ranger was when they rudely told us to get off one of the holes (17) and return to the cart path. We were already on the hole, so let us hit and we will return to the cart path, but no, we had to immediately get off the hole. There was no sign in the golf cart or on the hole itself and the starter did not advise us the hole was cart path only when we teed off, rather there was just a small sign at check in which I saw after the round when it was pointed out to me among other notices on a small board. The ranger proceeded to say the "big boss" was at the course so they had to enforce the rule. We had no issue with the cart path only on 17, but it was the way in which they approached us about it that was disconcerting. I asked the ranger who the "big boss" was and the ranger then just drove off, apparently using it as an excuse for his behavior,. After the round I asked to speak to the "big boss" but was told this person was not actually there. Overpeck- Put a sign on the hole and in the cart if you want people to not drive on a hole and tell the starter to advise golfers as they tee off so it is more clear. Finally, on the 18th hole, as we are on the tee box, a different ranger pulls up within earshot of the tee and is talking loudly on his cell phone. I had to tell him to move on and stop talking on his phone. Overall, the rangers are very rude, inconsiderate and distracting and completely ruined the experience of what was otherwise a nice course.

Overcharged me
They charged me for carts and they didn’t have any….they said that they can’t give a refund…that’s ridiculous

It was good courses designed
Was fun and I thought courses hard to beginners but was nice green condition I will be able to go again

Terrible service.
Paid in advance for carts and 18. Woman at the front desk said no carts bc of the rain even though there was no water on the course. And when I asked for a refund just for the cart fee she said it wasn’t her problem and was very rude. No pro shop or place to even get a water. Nice course, fairly short, well kept. Nothing bad about the course, only about the way that facility is run and how terrible the service was.

Good Round on a Hot Day
Played Overpeck for the first time after seeing part of the course from the highway. Was a little intimidated prior to the round due to a number of holes having water come into play. But the holes with water, although challenging, were fair. Good course with some challenging holes. A good round of golf on a very hot day.

Great features once you get to the starter
Start leader was engaged and controlled start times well.
Front desk uninterested more occupied with cell phone thought I was getting subway tickets at least they help somewhat. No directions, scorecards readily available. Felt I was disturbing his solitude.
