Very nice course
Greens were being aerated, but the course is laid out nicely and the pace of play was 4 hours. The staff was friendly and the restaurant had great food.
Challenging, fair, well kept facility.
Love this place. Even at non-resident rates, it's a great call for people coming from NYC as well as throughout NJ. It's well maintained, the layout is challenging but at the same time very fair. Multiple holes where there's a strategic decision to make, narrow tree-lined fairways, driver isn't automatically the best call, etc. - I love that style of game.
For beginners, the front tees are fairly placed and the course is approachable. And here, when the rear tees are elevated, the front tee also is, which is fun. There's something so satisfying about hitting from the top of a hill.
Good restaurant for after the round. Always happy to come here.
I just wish they'd find a solution for that 11th tee box, that one artificial box where you can't stick a tee into it. But that's a nitpick. It's a great course and I'm happy to come from Queens to play especially when it's with people coming from the city or NJ.
Where is the RANGER
Course was ok . . .slow to very slow play . . . NO RANGER that I saw . . . Course in decent shape but one tee box on the back nine was a platform with artificial turf - what's that . . . . Too many groups hitting various multiple shots hence the need for a RANGER . . . and IF they do employ one he wasn't doing his job
Home course
Great golf course! Always in good condition. The only negative is it’s very hard to get a tee time
a few surprises
I paid $70 to play a round of golf on a regulation course but at the first tee learned the back nine is an executive course. The staff failed to inform me at time of booking and tee off that only the front nine is regulation.
The course itself was nice, rolling hills and challenging but unfortunately cart path only wore my down to make feel like a mountain goat.
I may return but only in the fall ....summer is too hot to be walking most of that course.
Course conditions
Average to poor tee box conditions.
No drinking water on course on a 90+ deg day.

"the back nine is an executive course."
Huh? That's wrong. There are two courses. A regulation 18-hole course, and a 9-hole "Learning Center" executive course.
The back 9 of the full course is just as regulation is the front 9.
Unless regulation course holes 10-18 were closed for some reason on that particular day?
