William F. Larkin Golf Course at Colonial Terrace

Courses have lower expectations imo. It’s fun, small greens tighter fairways. Tee boxes and greens way to close. 9th hole protected by bunkers was a nice finish. Starter was awesome good history about the course. Coolest thing was the class the kids were taking off to the side.

I use to play this course 20 years ago, once a week with my father (80) and a buddy. It's a 9 hole course that's easy to walk.The green fees are for 9 holes only, it use to be 18 (you went around twice). The township made improvements to the course when it took it over a number of years ago.This is a good course for beginners, seniors or those just wanting to work on their game. I played for under $20. with a cart thru golfnow, so it was worth it but if you're looking to play 18 or something more challenging the are plenty of better options in Monmouth County although more $$$.

Well maintained. Friendly staff. Postage stamp greens. Would recommend.

Monmouth & Ocean County both have alot of good courses private and public but they are sometimes hard to get tee times on... this course is a great alternative and can be played in under 90 mins walking. Great target practice; greens are tiny and fast

Good for.a nice walk and a chance to hit a few balls.

Course played well. Fairways were good. Drainage a bit of an issue there were puddles in spots. Tee boxes were choppy but it’s also September. Greens were small, fast and had break. The overall layout is a little tough as tee boxes and greens were a little to close for the level of golfer that golfs this course but that really can’t be changed. Staff was super friendly and courteous. Well worth the money.

Fun golf nice people clean

I’ll always love playing here. Shorter holes so you can really practice your irons, or have some fun being a Superman and try to drive some greens. Pace of play is usually quick but seeing as the course is beginner friendly you might run into some slower new golfers which isn’t too bad with some patience, because we were all new to the sport once PLUS the ranger is always out ensuring steady pace of play. Prices are fair and staff is extremely friendly. Can’t wait to play there again!

Have things gone downhill. I grew up playing this course and for the last 25 years it has been an absolute pleasure to play talk to the staff and get the occasional favor when you need it. Now they are fired all their long-term employees. Everyone is gone. Replaced by volunteers the worst type of people to deal with when you’re paying for something. I played there yesterdayAnd it was the most offputting experience I’ve had as a golfer. Not only did they not allow me to take a card nor did they allow me to finish my round because they said I was the only one there and they wanted to close. Now that the old guard is gone I will never step foot on this course again. Shame on you shame on you a

You hit this course instead of going to a driving range. It’s 9 holes where you can hit every club a good number of times and be.reasonably challenged. I’ve been playing here forever and I have to say one of the best things about it is the friendly people you meet on the course. Remains the best value pound for pound in Monmouth County.
