Warrenbrook Golf Course
About
Warrenbrook Golf Course is one of five courses operated by the Somerset County Park Commission. Although it is a seemingly mild 6,372 yards from the back tees, don't let the yardage fool you. This course is a formidable test. The layout is very tight, routed through dense stands of mature trees that loom above the fairways and frame the greens. In addition to being heavily wooded, the rolling terrain provides many tricky ups and downs ranging from subtle to dramatic. You'll be hard-pressed to find a flat lie on this golf course and you should also be prepared for a few blind shots. To top it all off, there are also a few strategically placed bunkers. Your accuracy will be put to the test at Warrenbrook Golf Course, as will your course-management skills.

Solid course but drought conditions
Love this course but the fairways are burnt out and surface is solid hard. Greens are still good. Will only go back once we have had some rains and normal conditions. The layout is awesome.
Fairways could use a lot of work as they were extremely dry. Greens were in good condition.
Greens
The greens were the only thing that was great condition one the course. Tee boxes were hard as a rock. Fairways were rough and torn up. I get the drought so u can’t really water but hitting a shot off the fairway felt like I was hitting it off the cart path. Course has potential but needs to be taken care of better.
Golf Day
Staff was very friendly. Greens were excellent. Some dry areas on the fairways. Course could use more signs to next hole for new comers. All in all, a very nice experience.
Slow play, dried out
Got stuck behind a weekday league that moved real slow. Course is really dried out (July 2022) but part of that is to blame on Mother Nature. It’s a very challenging course with a lot of slope (no pun intended). Pace of play was not helped by tall burned out grass on the edges. Cut the grass and maybe pace will improve.
Incredibly Rude Staff
Fully understand the severity and issue that showing up 5 minutes past our tee time causes but the disrespect that we were treated with by the gentleman who was working the carts was unacceptable. He rudely explained to us the meaning of a tee time to which we acknowledged and proceeded to begin to play. First time playing here and a line of carts was blocking where the first tee box was. We drove off thinking it was further in the distance and were mocked when we came back around after we realized our mistake. To Deescalate the situation we decided to skip the first hole and play on from the second one. For the sake of time we played a scramble to make sure we weren’t holding up people behind us. Throughout the entirety of the 17 holes (some of which were in pretty bad shape) that we played we felt perfectly balanced between the people in front of us, who at times we waited to tee off, and the people behind us. As we approach the clubhouse after the 16th hole The same gentleman (Bill?) Made sure to come over and comment on our pace of play. Our group was all beginners and with this was our first or second time respectively playing a full 18 holes. After finishing he made sure to come over and tell us we would be faster if we drove over the course to our balls. Mind you, every other course I’ve ever been to has specifically asked for players to not do so as it can damage the fairway.
I apologize for any issues that our tardiness may have caused, and I fully understand that it is his responsibility to keep everything that happens on the course in check (pace of play and start time). but the way that we were treated was appalling. I wholeheartedly recommend assessing your staff. The woman behind the desk was incredibly pleasant and friendly upon check-in. As a business owner of 6 stores we would not allow any employee to work for us after behavior like this. If us being 5 minutes late should have disqualified us from being able to play I would not be writing this review. We will absolutely never be returning.
Atmosphere Matches the Staff
I’m going to keep this short, the staff was rude and very pushy. This was ironic because the groups ahead of us were beyond slow and nothing was said to them. The course conditions were not the best, some points it was similar to playing in my backyard. Don’t recommend coming here, might as well go to your local park and get yelled at, it’s the same experience!
I really like this course
When schedules permit, my friends and I play a number of courses. We always include playing there a few times per year. The layout is challenging and the course conditions and staff are always great. We always enjoy ourselves.
