Warrenbrook Golf Course
About
Warrenbrook Golf Course is one of five courses operated by the Somerset County Park Commission. Although it is a seemingly mild 6,372 yards from the back tees, don't let the yardage fool you. This course is a formidable test. The layout is very tight, routed through dense stands of mature trees that loom above the fairways and frame the greens. In addition to being heavily wooded, the rolling terrain provides many tricky ups and downs ranging from subtle to dramatic. You'll be hard-pressed to find a flat lie on this golf course and you should also be prepared for a few blind shots. To top it all off, there are also a few strategically placed bunkers. Your accuracy will be put to the test at Warrenbrook Golf Course, as will your course-management skills.

Wear Very Comfortable Shoes
A really nice course. Pretty open. But oh my the hills! Suggest not walking this course. It will wear you out. The pin placements are mostly in the front of the fast greens. A lot of the fairways are sloped so good shots can become not so good shots and can make it hard to find your ball even in the wide open.
new starter needs to learn the ropes
Title says it all. Don’t put a foursome of walkers in front of a foursome with carts. Also they definitely double booked.
Good to great natural layout
I really did enjoy this course. Good length, some challenging holes with narrow fairways and greens were county course slow but still in good shape. Biggest critique (other than the clubhouse situation due to a fire and no desire from the county to put any money into the course/amenities) is that I was penalized for hitting quality shots due to overgrown branches/trees. Course needs to be cut back a touch. Other than that I like the course and would recommend. Don’t expect to have a beer, hit the clubhouse, practice chip or go to the driving range though
WB Still holds up!
The course is challenging which is why i like it so you have to be a shot maker to enjoy your round. Overall the course is in good shape. I just wish they would keep the greens medium to fast by cutting or rolling them regularly. I also wish they would do something about the club house. The place has so much potential but in over 20 years of playing it they've done nothing significant to the club house and every year they cut more trees down, close tee boxes and remove bunkers. Feels like they're slowly giving up on the course.
Course needs work
Rate of play was very slow ahead of us but we still had guys hitting up on us the whole round. Not sure if they knew we were waiting on the group ahead of us to finish up most of the day.
When we got out to hole 13-16 we were surrounded by people from all the other holes, there was a lot of shouting and ‘FORE’ calls.
The gentleman in the clubhouse was very professional and pleasant. The starter? Not so much. He was aggressive, and terse; creating an awful ambience and aggravating anyone that came in contact with him.
The course was .. okay. Decent course conditions but had to drive up to the middle of some holes to see if it was clear. Cart paths were a mess, even driving cautiously was difficult. Greens were slow but well-manicured.
Likely wont come back.
Hot One
We arrived a little bit early hoping to get out earlier than our tee time. The two ladies in the make shift trailer clubhouse were very nice and got us out early. The course is one of my favorite courses around where I play. It was in good shape. It’s a mature course and it can challenge most average players. The only thing I would say is they should have bottled water or coolers on the course. It was 92 out and all they have is a vending machine at the 10th hole that only takes dollars no debit.
Nice Course....Terrible Value
The course is decently maintained for a public - rough is a little unwieldly but it adds to the challenge of a layout that's all about control rather than distance, and rewards shotmaking.
The value has gone down considerably since I last played - there's no clubhouse, no working bathrooms, no snacks or beverages available and not even any water stations on the course. On an extremely hot day, that should have at least been communicated as it was borderline dangerous to be out there for 4 hours. Staff was extremely unfriendly when asked about it.
For a higher-priced public round, it's atrocious. Tee times are easy to get and I see why - I won't return unless in a pinch.
Water
Played on a hot day..
There is no opportunity to refill your water bottle on the course. No cart girl.
The course is in good shape,… the rough is unforgiving.Needs to be cut down. Just missing the fairway , with virtually no first cut, makes things difficult.
Green a bit slow but in very good shape
Lots of rough
If you're not in the fairway, you are in trouble. Narrow fairways, and fescue-like rough. Hilly, so playing on a hot, humid days is a real workout, even with a cart. You do not head back to the clubhouse until 16 green, so pack beverages. They had a fire a few months ago, hopefully the repairs won't take too long. Will play here again.
