Preakness Valley Golf Course - West

I'd play here again, but very resistant to play in summer as I can anticipate a major bug problem.

Had a nice day. Teed off on a Friday at 7am. Walked 18 with 2 other local guys. Finished in under 4 hours. Conditions were good, slightly wet from recent rain but everything was in good shape.

The course is great shape except for the temporary green placed in the middle of the fairway on #12. Sadly, nobody mentioned this to me prior to or at the start of my round. Other than that, I was very pleased with the conditions.

All in great condition. Greens a bit slow assuming they will speed up as weather warms.

The ability level at this course is very low. Most players are severely below average and these players inside on playing form White & Blue tee boxes. This makes 18 holes take 5&12 hours. Absolutely unacceptable.

No bathrooms for women & Men forced to used woods or one of a couple disgusting port-o-johns stalls. With the greens fees they charge they should turn the concession stands they NEVER USE into bathrooms.

Friendly course with very little elevation change and with open fairways so it's easier to find your ball. Restaurant was very good with very friendly staff.

There’s been a lot of rain recently in the North Jersey area. I was expecting a pretty wet round but there were only a few spots where it seemed wet. 4 hour 15 minute round on a Sunday, can’t complain about that!

I play this course at least once a week, and I’ve been playing here well over a decade. This was my first time out this season, and I have NEVER in my life, been asked to pay an extra $18 to ride alone. I was a single playing with 3 strangers (a grandfather, son, and grandson) and the starter told me to double up with the grandfather or I had to pay for the extra seat. Not to mention, the course was cart path only, I could have maybe understood they don’t want 3-4 carts on the fairways at once, but what difference does it make if they’re all on the path anyway. In total I paid $98 to play a course that was in $50 condition. Overall scumbag move from a place I love to play.
