Preakness Valley Golf Course - West

Even though this course is short, it provides a wide array of holes that you must navigate and think through. A lot of cool dog legs, and long par 3s, some cool risk reward holes where you can take it over trees, the greens are well maintained. It's a great walking course. I wish the rangers would push the pace a little bit tough.

Great value and very well taken care of for a public county course! Marty and staff make the place that much better and you always get in a solid round here!

Course in good shape including the sand traps! Greens rolling medium-to-fast but rolling very true! Good value for $25 but $15pp for cart seems steep to me (maybe I'm getting old? LOL) . Even with cart price it's good value though. Will definitely go back soon!!

Fairways are nice and Greens are spot on. Helpful staff guides you as a first timer. Big facility overall. Played the East Course, a little short. Many irons off the tee, but was still challenging and a pleasure to play.

Price was as expected for a round in the area. Upgrades made over the last few years completely changed the course and experience. Will definitely play it again. Bar/restaurant had excellent food and drink choices for a post round lunch.

Many blind shots due to hills but a good challenge. Some holes are confusing from the tee box esp hole 7. Many creeks to watch out for.

Very beautifully renovated county course. Fairways and greens were in pristine condition, and staff really cares about the upkeep of the course.

I’ve played twice once on each course(east/west). Driving range is not bad and the small bucket is a good deal (55ish balls I think). Starters on both sides are very personable and friendly. I’m newer and they offered tips, advice etc. the people I played with were exceptionally helpful. Course is in great shape. East was a bit more fun for me since I could tee off with a variety other than a driver. West is probably a bit more challenging but still plenty of room for beginners. You won’t lose many balls.

As far as of course-. Pro shop is nice looking and clean. The staff there is friendly and fun to talk to. Bathroom was clean. Overall everything seems to be well taken care of.

Overall I highly recommend it. I will definitely play here again. It’s towards the top of courses(if not the top) I check to see if they have a tee time that meets when I can play.
