good value
Ours was the first group out after the course emptied following a "shot gun" start preceeded us. We finished our round in 3.5 hours. Joined two other local golfers who agreed to play "ready golf". We had a great round and the course was in very good condition.
Great lay of the land
was in good shape for early in season. Nice layout some up and down hill, a few blind shots, and some fairways that slant quite a bit so important to know where to hit the ball.Would definately play again now that I understand the course a little better.
Challenging township course in really good shape
Kudo's to the grounds crew. This was my fifth course this Spring and it was by far in the best shape tee- fairway- green. The pace was great for a Sunday 7 am tee time with know one in front of our foursome the entire round. It was Mother's Day so that may have been a factor. As I recall form my last time here the course is fairly straight and plays long. It starts out tough with 2 par 5's and then a hard 4 that is the #1 handicap. Things then even out but prepare for 13 and 14 as the back nine challenges. Only complaints were no beverage cart and some of the hole postings were very different than the gps reading (7 played about 30 yards longer). Greens are small but that is probably due to the age of the course. Great food and patio at clubhouse.
Course in great shape
Course was in very impressive shape for this early in the season, greens especially. Fairways had a couple of soggy patches from the wet spring but other than that . . . no complaints at all. Interesting enough layout, course definitely plays long.
Not sure why its called Mountainview though; there aren't any views, certainly none of mountains. No matter, I'll be back soon!
Windy but good for spring
Course was in better shape then expected already the fairways had been airrated would recommend because it's fairly challenging and will be returning this season
Nice conditions
This course was in great condition, from fairways to greens. Well done nice course will definitely play again
Nice course
The place is in good shape, the greens are slow but that's what happens when you don't cut them regularly. Fairways are good too. Overall I was surprised it was this good. The. 17th fairway is getting better...... I guess
A course worth playing
Mountain View is a very nice course. Friendly and helpful staff, well groomed course with clean facilities.
The course offers a wide variety of challenges and is a great course for all types of golfers.
As the weather gets better the views get better.
Great Day on the Golf Course!
Nice layout
Pace of play was slow because of the multiple groups of walkers we were behind and the leaves. The course is nice, maintained and the staff was friendly.
Value
Of course being Nov. we had some debri on greens but other then a few greens the course was in great shape !!
Was also a very good value as well !!!
Great value
This is a great course. The tee box and fairway were in good condition but the green was very bumpy and slow.
Great value for the rate paid through Golfnow.
Will definite come back in the peak season to test their green.
Nice couse easy to get to from PA
Found the course to be in good shape. Starts with 2 par fives and continues with some long par fours from the middle tees
Really pretty course with interesting terrain
Played it on a cool Friday with a partner so pace of play was not a factor, we were asked to play through a threesome and foursome on the way. Everyone was very courteous including the starter and the staff. Thought the course was well maintained and loved the hilly terrain. The course provided opportunity to recover from bad shots and rewarded those in the fairway, a very fair course. Definitely will come back to this course
Challenging course, nicely routed, seasonably maintained.
Enjoyed the course though leaves (season problem) made finding ball in fairway challenging. Greens played well. Would like to see a senior tee (not forward tee used as Sr tee) box and a little more attention to the forward tee box. Good bar/restaurant after round.
Being a county course, it can be difficult to bet a tee time for a non-resident.
Fairways and greens were in good shape. The rough was a bit too long which made it difficult to find balls.
I like this course alot
This course is in nice shape all the time, great prices on golfnow.
nothing like starting off par 5 par 5
Good value
Nice layout, well maintained for the amount of play it gets. Very good value for a non-resident since this is a county course. the normal rates for out of county residents is much higher.
Bad day to play (Still better than being at work)
Can't blame the course, can't blame this site, but the weatherman on the other hand.... First time played. liked the layout. greens where in great shape. Fairways were also in good shape except for a few spots. looking forward to returning on a nicer day.
This course is beautifully landscaped
I truly enjoyed playing this course. Was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. The course is well maintained given the conditions of the past month, and the greens are true. The layout makes this course a wonderful venue to play.
The holes and layout have charater.
Some challanging holes. Sand traps were well maintained, however the tee boxes and greens were in poor shape. Was not worth the primetime green fee rate.
