Needs a little love

Not great
Snack shack was closed on a Saturday afternoon, greens very dry and half dead in some spots, bad, dry sod on a few fairways and tee boxes. Not worth $57 on Saturday at peak time.

Run down
The greens were aerated, but that is not what was bad about them. They were in terrible shape. The fairways were spotty as well. They are trying to get the tee boxes back in shape with new sod on some, but it will be a while before they are good. This course took a nose dive this year. It used to be one of the best kept courses in south Jersey, but since new management took over, it has gone down hill. Will not play there again this year. Hopefully next year will be better.

Bear up
Many bare spots on greens and fairways, hitting out of dirt most of the time. Tee boxes were spotty at best... Sod all over the place... It's August.

Not great.
The course wasn't in great shape whatsoever. Poorly done sod on tee boxes and some fairways, some greens were very bare and gone. For the money it cost it wasnt worth playing.. Hopefully they get it turned around. It used to be a decent course.

Sad!
As my title alludes, the only way I could describe Westwood was sad. I’ve played this course at least once every season for the past 10 years and yesterday’s condition was the absolute worst I’ve ever seen. This course has continued to deteriorate each year to the point I cannot recommend whatsoever. I used to love playing Westwood, not anymore.
It’s unrealistic to expect private club conditions at a course such as Westwood; however, there is no excuse for what the groundskeepers are doing. Mud patches for greens, dead sod carelessly rolled out on half of the tee boxes and fairways, trash cans that appear to not have been emptied for days! Under its current conditions, this course does not compare to even the most average of lower priced public courses in the area.
Contrary to course conditions, staff was very friendly including the pro shop employee, starter, and cart girl. They are the only positive I can mention.

I see improvements
Last week we played here and I gave it a poor review - came back this week and was pleased to see some large improvements - a couple of the fairways were completely re-soded and the greens were in better shape. Some of the tee boxes were worked on - but there is still some work to be done. I'm just glad to see the improvements and hope they fill in the pot-hole throughout the course.

Course needs to be closed for repairs
This course is so beat up it’s ridiculous. Majority of the tee boxes are dried up, floppy loose re-sod, or both. The fairway on hole #7 is entirely made up of rolls of sod.
If I had known this course was in this condition, I would have played somewhere else. The course has no business being open while so many holes are beat up or under repair.

not happy with conditions
tee boxes need work. ground was exreamly hard and fairway grass way to short .. understand watering is costly but it was like hitting off the ground.
play this course twice a year. this was the first time this year....not sure I will return.

Westwood
Slow play probably because of 8-minute tee times. A lot of first-time golfers. slow play. Rained after 6 holes had to stop.
