Westwood Golf Club

Let's start by saying it was in the low 80's in August. Incredible day. The greens had been aerated a month ago or so, so almost back smooth. That coupled with a day of rain before, and the greens being squishy, made for interesting putting. The course was in OK shape, it's just short. Less than 3000 yards per side. Some mickey mouse holes where you hit it 140-160 yards to hit it another 140-160. They squeezed it in, and they did the very best they could. For the prize I paid ($27) it was a fine deal. But I wouldn't pay a lot. I don't want to be critical because the guy working the counter was kind(he loaned us a putter when one us had left their's in another bag). If you know what you are getting, it could be a fun day with some friends.

We didn't tee off until close to 25 minutes after our tee time. The rangers did their best to keep play moving, but there were just a lot of slow groups on the course and it backed up. There were long waits on a number of holes.

The course doesn't help itself by only having 8 minutes between tee times. They need at least 10 minutes here.

Same as old management yet a little more pleasant. I looks as if they are even trying to make it better then before.

Westwood features a variety of challenges to test and sharpen your golf skills. You will play short holes, long holes,dog legs, flat fairways, rolling fairways, ditches and water hazards, and a varied layout of bunkers. Westwood is a great course for golfers of all skills and very enjoyable to play.
