I have played this golf course many times over the past year and it is an excellent course.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
The pace of play has always been great.
I highly recommend playing this golf course
Fun February bonus round!
Great day warm but windy. The course was full but the pace of play was very good!
easy but fun course
Love this course - it's always in good shape - the pace of play is just about 4 hours - the staff are friendly. Great location and you won't lose many balls here which makes for a quicker game and less stressful.
November at Westwood
All things considered, this course was above average for this time of year. The most annoying item was pace of play. The marshal should have seen the players backed up sooner than they did. They handled it but our foursome still can’t get back the time lost.
love this course
this course is about 1 mile from my home and is very convent to play. the course itself is not difficult but still is a fun course to plat.
I had a great time playing
The course was in great shape. It has challenging holes that I love. I take great pride in playing their because my father helped build it. I will be back again
Overloaded Course
I wish I would have taken a picture of the first tee box because there were 8 carts on it. I booked a 10:24 tee time on Golfnow at about 9:30 the same day. I expected it to be crowded but this was a prime example of a course booking too many tee times. I get there, pay, park my cart behind a line of carts and ask the guy in front of me what his tee time was. He tell me 10:24. I look at my receipt and they gave me 10:28. Not sure how many places you've been to where golfers are spaced 4 minutes apart. As such, there were 0 holes where we didn't have to wait to tee off and it wasn't uncommon for us to be on the next hole BEFORE the group in front of us had even tee off. We teed off near 11 and left hole 15 at 3:15. It would have been well over 5 hours if we stayed. I talked to player assistance and he blamed slow play by the golfers but this is an egregious act by ownership. The course is average but I can get by that. Horrible experience, will never go back.
Good local course
Westwood is a nice local course if your looking to play somewhere close that isn't to long or tough. It's a good course for beginners or to work on your irons. Always a nice course to play.
Westwood Golf Course
Beautiful day and we had some good holes. Until we got to the 10th hole. The course starter started sending groups out on 10 just as we were starting the back 9. For the next 3 holes or so we were slowed by this threesome. Definitely not the right choice made by the starter. Following the round we decided to have lunch in the clubhouse. Good food for the cost and delivered quickly.
Not a bad course for the cost.
A nice easy course
Westwood is under new ownership and everyone Ive interacted with is very nice and seems excited about the new direction the course is moving. Some very easy holes and some challenging-- especially the par 3s (except for one). Westwood has some easy holes with daunting tee shots because of the tree overhang. Course conditions are typically pretty good. Decent sand, medium speed greens that are smooth, nice fairways and fairly short rough. Today the greens were terrible--they had recently been aerated, but they were never rolled flat. The ball just hopped the whole time and settled into aeration holes which were the low spots. I didn't take any points on the review away for this, as green maintenance is necessary--but they could've been better. Food cart at the turn is open some weekdays-- they take cards which is nice. Overall, I like west wood. They do not have a driving range - which is a shame considering the space they have. The practice green by the club house is worthless. But there is a nice one below #10 tee.
No Starter
We had 2 other 4'somes booked at the same time. 9 holes took almost 4 hrs. You need to have some order on the course. I wish I had the opportunity to get my money back when I saw the other teams looking to go out at the same tee time. I am local to this place but unfortunately this is my last time playing there.
Hidden Gem
I play this course a lot. Not a long course. Great for seniors like me. Kept in great condition. Has some tricky greens, and narrow tree lined driving lanes on some holes. Have a some par 4's that turn 90 degrees. Makes using different clubs off tee necessary. Also surprisingly hilly for usually flat south Jersey courses. Fun to play if you hit it straight. If not, can be a long day.
Very good espically in the early afternoon
My favorite course and it happens to be 10 minutes from my home. Fun open layout. Tough greens blind tee shots and it actually feels like a golf course. Great price after 2pm. Very nice staff and they just got new carts
