Pine Hills Country Club
About
Pine Hills Country Club sprawls cross 165 acres of Long Island's protected Pine Barrens. The golf course plays long at over 7,000 yards from the back tees but it is a playable and fair test. It is challenging as well with quite a bit of water and sand coming into play throughout. Towering, mature pines also line narrow fairways. One of the most difficult holes is the par-4 11th. This dogleg left is one of the many holes with water and it also features a green that is severely sloped from back to front. While the golf course is the main attraction, Pine Hills is also known for having the area's best public practice facility. The club boasts a driving range with target greens, a putting green with a 9-hole practice course, and a chipping green with a greenside sand trap.

Excellence value
Book my round in the morning, tee off around noon,, bump into 3 other gentlemen, course in great shape, greens were tough, but rolls true, layout and length suit my game nicely (I'm a 15 handicaper), will come back for more, definitely!
kept it Excellent Green !!!
Fast Green and Excellent Conditions of Fairways.
Very Nice!!!
Great day
Staff is the best. Joe in the clubhouse and Jimmy the pro are aces. Course is maintained perfectly for winter golf with leaf free fairways and great greens for this time of year. Always a pleasure to tee it up here.
Good course. However did not allow carts even though part of the deal
A very nice and scenic course. Good price
beautiful day to play
course was in great shape and considering the time of year, the fairways were clear of leaves! Not too busy and play moved along fairly well without long waits.
Highly Dissapointed
Played this course many times over the past 6 years and I must say it's gone downhill in my opinion. Staff used to be much friendlier with only two exceptions Mike and Joe are still good people.$49 bucks for poor conditions was not a fair deal. Pace of play on the back 9 was horrible. No ranger and no golf etiquette from the people playing ahead of us.
Magnificent greens
WOW!!! Greens are great and course is in excellent condition.
good challage
will play again
pace just needs a little improvement
the course was in great shape
the course was in excellent condition our foursome stayed for dinner that was very nice service was great i would recommend playing this course to everyone
Overall good course
The staff treated us very well. Made us feel welcomed and that they were truly happy we were there. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were challenging and fast. Pace of play was fine on the front 9 but got a little slow on the back. Overall will be going back
pine hills
nice course
but should have known it was going to ne a long day when management expects it to take 4 hours and 40 minites to play. the course is nice but pace of play is terrible
Nice Course
The Greens are a bit beat up. If golfers would repair there own divots the greens will become better. Common courtesy fix your divots.
Could be a great golf experience.
No excuse for the golf range not to be open, or not being able to have a buttered roll before we play. No excuse not to be able to have a snack or drink on the turn or to get a cold beverage on the course from a cart person.
Last time
Not worth the money or time with so many nicer courses nearby. Had an 11am tee off time and played a 5.5 hour round. Not sure why it should take so long to play a midweek round. No marshalls on the course to speed up play and just guessing, there is a lot of play from residents. Greens were in poor condition. Fairways were in decent shape. I played Bethpage red in same amount of time. That course was in great shape and paid half the price and I expect a long round there. There is no reason to play a midweek round over 4 hours on a suffolk county course.
Slow play
I don't know if they have a women's league every Tuesday but the pace of play was very slow. The foursome in front of us which was all women putted like they were playing for the Masters champion ship. Make sure when you call for a teatime you ask about whether or not there's a woman's league playing that day!
The women's league occurs only every Tuesday @ 11am till 12:30. This is the only day we have league play during the weekdays. The day you referred to in the review was there club championship so they may not have been moving as quickly as normal. I am very happy you enjoyed everything else about our facility, and we look forward to seeing you next time.
Sincerely,
Joe Flanagan

Great afternoon
Arrived at course 1/2 hour prior to tee time; starter allowed us to begin since there were no groups waiting;
completed 18 holes in 4 hours; course in terrific condition; can't wait to play this course again
