About
Pine Hills Country Club sprawls cross 165 acres of Long Island's protected Pine Barrens. The golf course plays long at over 7,000 yards from the back tees but it is a playable and fair test. It is challenging as well with quite a bit of water and sand coming into play throughout. Towering, mature pines also line narrow fairways. One of the most difficult holes is the par-4 11th. This dogleg left is one of the many holes with water and it also features a green that is severely sloped from back to front. While the golf course is the main attraction, Pine Hills is also known for having the area's best public practice facility. The club boasts a driving range with target greens, a putting green with a 9-hole practice course, and a chipping green with a greenside sand trap.

Very good and fast greens
Nice course, I haven't played it in years. It plays easy, I broke 80.
But plays slow. A lot of slow players.
Slow play, course condition poor
2nd time playing this course. Condition of course went down since May. Both times playing it, the rate of play was extremely slow. Had to wait about 5 minutes for each shot.

Great Day
Arrived early so we had an incredible lunch at the restaurant in the clubhouse . The service was above all expectations .
We his balls before tee off on actual grass instead of mats . The balls were the good ones you dont get at most driving ranges and were only $3.50
The course was in better condition than most i have played thissummer . We are going back soon !!
Good as usual.
Great condition. Greens and fairways in good shape. No bathrooms or beverage service on course, but unlike many, they do have drinking water. No starter or ranger during weekday afternoon, but thankfully we didn't need one.

A swell course for an average golfer like me. Fairways in superb condition. Greens consistent and readable.

Very enjoyable experience. Pro Shop guys are extremely pleasant as were the other employees. Weather was overcast which may have had something to do with it but we finished in less than 4 hours with a 12:52 tee time!
Always a good time
I haven't played this course in a few years, was very glad to go back. It's in good shape, love the grass driving range and excellent putting/chipping practice area.
Very Nice Course
The course layout was nice. Not too challenging until the greens. They are very true and very fast. Great value for 39.00$. Would play again.
Great couste for the price
$29 at 4 pm. Great course for the money. Always in in good shape. Staff is great. Usually not to busy.

Plays long from the whites at 6500 yards. Didn't help that it was misty for half the day. Would definitely book again. Well kept
Good to Go
Fun round. The two guys we played with were slow as shot. I've see women on crutches golf faster. However, with that said we managed to play 18 in 4 and 1/2 hours.

a fair course, usually well maintained
course was recently aerated, unusual for June 24., though not deep tine. In past years the greens got worse as summer rolled on, so greenskeeper may be trying to stay ahead of the situation. As for the course, it is a fair course with good risk reward holes, some confidence building holes, some distance and some trouble. As a 15 handicapper, I enjoy playing the course. Traps were in decent shape, speed of play was good, but I usually play early, so I cant attest to 11 AM on. price was right with our Golf Caddy/Advisor online special.

Nice course
Played Friday with friend we are 18 and 21handicaps. Enjoyed the cours greens in great condition. The course is open so if you miss fairway you can recover. Only problem was a very slow foursome ahead of us. No ranger to be seen.

I decided to try golfnow.com on a friends advice. What a great time I had at Pine Hills... The course was in excellent condition, got the $39 early bird deal, could not have been more pleased. Actually, just booked another 18 for tomorrow morning it was so good... I am planning on using golfnow.com pretty much all of the time. A lot better than dealing with crowds and lines plus the deals are great !!
Greens not what they use to be.
Played late afternoon no starter so it was a free for all. Course is getting a little chewed up especially some of the greens #9 in particular. $35 with a cart worth the price wouldn't pay much more
