Pine Hills Country Club
About
Pine Hills Country Club sprawls cross 165 acres of Long Island's protected Pine Barrens. The golf course plays long at over 7,000 yards from the back tees but it is a playable and fair test. It is challenging as well with quite a bit of water and sand coming into play throughout. Towering, mature pines also line narrow fairways. One of the most difficult holes is the par-4 11th. This dogleg left is one of the many holes with water and it also features a green that is severely sloped from back to front. While the golf course is the main attraction, Pine Hills is also known for having the area's best public practice facility. The club boasts a driving range with target greens, a putting green with a 9-hole practice course, and a chipping green with a greenside sand trap.

Pine Hills Treat
Pine Hills is really in nice shape. I played here a few times in Spring and it was pretty nice then....even better now.. The greens were really rolling nicely. They also did something I hadn't seen here before yesterday. There were no blue tees. The white tees were set at a combination of traditional white locations and a higher number of blue locations which stretched the course out a bit. Not sure if that configuration is in for good but I liked it. The pace of play was slow. We finished in just over 5 hours. This is not a terribly difficult course but it is definitely a solid challenge.
Nice course - slow play
We got a very good prices through Golfnow. The course is in excellent shape but play was very slow. We were the first group off after a ladies outing. They moved along well but there were simply too many people on the course. Practice facilities here are very good.
GREAT COURSE
IN THE BEST CONDITION THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN IT. SMOOTH GREENS.
A very forgiving course !
First time my friends and I played here! The Courses is very open and very forgiving ! Booked it through GolfNow.com excellent price offered ! Will definitely play there again going through GolfNow.com!
CHANGE CUPS DAILY/
Very disappointed the cups have not been change for some time. This shows me there is a problem in management and maintance care. Many know its all about the putting in GOLF.
5:45 minute roung!!!
Yes that's right, 5:45 min. round, no ranger, at least two fivesomes spotted, lots of really drunk golfers too. When I called the clubhouse to complain I was told pace of play is the sole responsibility of the golfers and then he hung up!
Great course, terrible pace of play 6hr round
Nice course but the pace of play was terrible.. 3 group back up on almost every hole.. will never play this course again .... to many other courses to choose from... 6 hr round is unacceptable ..
Very impressed!
Everything about this course was great! Free Range Balls, immaculate (and fast) greens, interesting layout, etc. My only complain would be getting real food/drinks at the turn was incredibly inefficient..On A Sunday afternoon burgers/dogs weren't ready, no cans of beer to buy and on the back nine the cart girl had no sandwiches or any real food. Otherwise, a great round!
Nice Course in Excellent Condition
Enjoyed the round; paired up with three others and had a very nice day
This course is challeging yet fair..
Two distinct nines makes this course very interesting, along with good course contions it's a nice value..
Fun track to negotiate.
If you play in the afternoon, this course is a great value ($45 for 18 riding). The course was in great condition when I played. Tee to green everything was lush, manicured and green. There are plenty of dog-legs and water hazards to keep you thinking all day.Risk /reward is constantly being considered which makes gambling more fun. We always have a fun time talking about the round afterward.
Course was in great shape.
Great shape, played in just over 4 1/4 hours on a Saturday afternoon, which was great. Greens were really fast, which was surprising based on the rain we had the days before.
Deceptively Challenging. Friendly staff
Very friendly staff. Deceptively challenging holes and greens. Tough if you get off the fairway to play back into the hole and shoot a good score. Looking forward to playing again soon. Great value
This course is well maintained
Staff was very friendly. A little confusing to navigate to next tee box.
Great day!
The course was beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed the 4 hour pace of play and the friendly bartender at the clubhouse upon finishing. Good time had by all. Terrific value.
don't tell anyone
everything was good, staff excellent, conditions good, they are doing work to make it even better.
Completely Satisfied
Two of us played in 3 1/4 hrs. Staff was great. Course was in beautiful condition. Fairways were great. Rough was a little thick but not a problem at all. Added a challenge. Only issue, and I'm being very picky, is the cart paths (when they were there) are in terrible condition. But no big deal. I would 100% recommend this course. Can't wait to go back.
Pine Hills golf
course was in good shape and the staff was very courteous
Pine hills
Pine hills was great. If you can play after one o'clock the price is just thirty-five dollars with a cart per person. I would recommend this course to anyone in the Mid-Suffolk County area.
