A Beautiful Day & Round
A warm reception and quick check in. Got out a few minutes earlier then expected which was good. Just a bit of a wait first couple holes and then everything moved well. Loved the course and the huge greens were amazing. The speed of greens was perfect. The course is pretty easy and has a slope of 120 so it was nice smoking a big cigar and just taking in the good weather.
I will certainly be back soon

Very good course
I play this course 5-10 every year going on about 30 years!Always challenges my game.Greens are in great shape fairways recently aerated but not an issue.consistently One of the better public courses in Suffolk County

Great layout with a mixture of long and short holes. Some doglegs and very BIG greens. Green side fringe recently aerated. Some parts of the fairway also aerated.

Great Conditions
While so many courses in Suffolk County are not being maintained, Swan Lake is in great condition. Kudos to the superintendent. Pace of play was very good also. We waited for a few minutes at several tees but still finished our round in 3 hrs 45 min. This is quickly becoming my favorite local course.

Greens were in great shape. Most fairways as well. Beyond that not so much. Late in the year so didn’t expect much.

Incredible Course Conditions!
I have played a lot of courses this summer,and this course by far was the best....The Superintendent of Grounds and Staff should be commended for their efforts in keeping this course in top notch shape...I've never seen such beautiful greens.....What a great Day for my friends and I ...Thank You Swan Lake! We'll be back.....

Nice round of golf
It's late August so the course wasn't in as good shape as when I've played in the past. On certain holes the areas around the greens were a bit burned out. Also although we haven't had much rain, the sand traps seemed "heavy".
One other thing...they don't keep rakes at the traps. Instead they put one each cart - which is fine...if you remember to take it with you. Judging by the condition of the traps, many gofers forget to bring the rakes with them (and they don't fix their ball marks).
Notwithstanding...the course was mostly in good shape, nice layout and the entire staff was very nice.

Pricy swamp lake
The course is horrendously kept. The greens have peach fuzz so you won’t get any pure rolls. A lot of zig zag run outs. Around the green is horrendous it’s about 25% grass and the rest of the apron is crap. Muddy patchy it’s just bad. I can’t stress enough how important it is to give your business to the courses that actually take care of themselves . It will be my last time playing the swamp.

The weather has been tough on a lot of courses but a lot of the fairways and the aprons of the greens were on really bad shape. Greens were good.

Disappointed!!
We play Swan Lake a lot for our work league matches, however it looks like the season and maintainability issues have caught up with it. Areas around the aprons if the greens were all being prepped for repairs of reseeding. Also didn’t like that we were asked to go off the New back nine (old front) due to another league and had to deal with people crossing over from the front nine! Seemed to be a preponderance or twosomes hitting up into our foursome match which caused us to take longer than normal!
