Great conditions , rough is tough
Course is in great condition! Fast greens, tough rough around the greens/ great challenge to play!
Great course
Old school course in nice condition and nice greens. Challenging with lots of trees. Off the beat path but have good deals to make it worth the drive. Little buggy though, bring bug spray.
Course is in great shape and greens are exceptional. Fun course and highly recommended.
Beautiful front nine
The back was wet but the front nine was in fine shape. My friend and I had a blast. The food and service at your grill room is awesome also. Thank you guys for working so hard so the rest of us can enjoy
Saturday Round with Friends
Had a great round on Saturday. We teed off right on time. As a twosome we played quickly and found the group’s ahead of us to be very courteous, letting us play through. The course was in great shape and relatively dry given all the rain we had this spring. Looking forward to more round this season.
Super value for the price!
The fairways and greens were quite good;tee boxes were acceptable;bunkers and roughs need some work. Overall they are improved- cart paths have been added in some areas, greens best condition in years, clubhouse upgraded. The new owner seems to be dedicated to making this course desirable. We'll play here agai!
In spite of the rainy spring
The course didn’t have too many roped off areas…still pretty wet but in spite of it all..a great course 👍🏼⛳️
Upgrades and updates
Noticeable ongoing Upgrades and updates to the clubhouse, cart, paths, overall look, feel, and layout out of the course. Very friendly staff, very accommodating.
Ripped off and a wasted day
As a member of a very nice course I rarely play other courses. When I do play other courses I try and play a course with a good reputation and reviews that I’ve never played before. Golfnow had a hot deal for this course so I paid for it and drove over one hour on my only day off this week to play it. Imagine my surprise when I got there and some construction workers informed me the course was g open yet. Despite their insistence, I knocked on the pro shop door where a cleaning woman told me through the window that nobody was there and the course wasn’t open yet. Golfnow won’t refund my money because they can’t reach anyone at this course to confirm they weren’t open. So to sum it up: I wasted a gorgeous 80 degree day, my only day off, by driving over 2 hours(round trip) to play a course that wasn’t even open yet and can’t even get my money back.
McConnellsville
Course was in good condition even after recent drought condition. Maintenance does alot of work watering. Great job.
Well maintained
Hit them right after club championships. Course was in great shape. Carts were well maintained. And the greens were FAST.
Beautiful day on the links
First time at McConnellsville and will not be the last. Great layout, the greens are as good as you will find anywhere, rolled beautifully. I can't lie about pace of play, there were several slow foursome a few groups ahead and we waited on every shot. I'm guessing this is not the norm, but that's the way it was. I do not hesitate giving 5 stars overall because I enjoy being out with great friends, having a nice conversation with the terrific young man (Mike) who joined our threesome, as well as the threesome ahead of us. I know slow play can be annoying for some, I see it as an opportunity to spend a little extra time with Joe, Bob, and out new friend Mike. We will be back!
A little note on questions below. I carried a 6 handicap but adjacent level wear from two spinal fusions in the past has limited my ability to play. Golf is the medium that gets good friends together , two from the Albany area, one from Geneva. We could not be happier with our "Midway" get together at McConnellsville!
Great course condition and Clubhouse
Great course. Amazing greens. Very challenging. Nice Clubhouse with nice views overlooking #1 and #18.
Hidden Jem
This course feels like it's in the middle of no where but that just adds to its charm. The course was in fantastic sharp and felt like I was playing a pro tour course but not at a pro tour price. Looking forward to playing again!
