Oak Tree/Spruce at Middle Island Country Club

Was only tee time I could get with the popularity of golf being up. Driving range is not good. Putting green had dead spots. Starter was confused and contradicted which mines and how soon we were to go. Given the time of year other courses were in great shape. Not here. Dead spots on tees, green and fairways. Pace was only good thing. Not worth the $88.00 greens fee.

First time I played there, very slow play. Had to walk off for the first time ever. Started seemed to not know what was going on regarding which course we should play. Sorry, will never play there again.

Over crowded and no attempt to move unbelievably slow/bad players along. Place is run down.

I bought my brother up to play course was a bit beat up . Tee boxes not great and greens were long and slow. They do get a lot of play ,I just feel the maintenance can be better and the guys in the pro shop have no personal skills at all. Good value and three nines so people can spread out and place of play is very good

course conditions were good. tee box good. fairways good. white tee's kept us in play.

people who play here dont seem to fix their ball marks on greens.

Just played Friday Oct 2, course was in great shape.

Tee boxes good. Greens in great shape. As were fairways and overall condition of course.

Carts were super clean or brand new. Possibly both.

The greens were pretty bumpy. Many ball marks on the greens. Fairways were nice. Bunkers were in good condition. Well raked under the trees. Tee boxes were a little ratty.

Played there on the last Sunday in Sept. Was warned beforehand that the course was being aerated so we were prepared and expecting the worst. However, the course is still in pretty good condition for this time of year. Most of the greens ran well (though some still had sand). We had Dog to Spruce, which IMO is the best of the 3 9-hole courses here and the pace was great The last hole on Spruce is a great one to end the day on....open fairway to an elevated sloping green.

This course is in bad shape. Greens are terrible. Not worth the money. Will not play this course the rest of the remaining golf season at this price point. I understand it been a long golf season but you should lower your fees after Labor Day and after you aerate the course.

Visiting with friends and family on our annual golf trip. We took a chance on a new course to branch out. When we found this course with 4 star rating for $90, we thought this was a cant miss opportunity to play another nice Long Island course. Upon arrival, the course looked good from far but once we were on it, it was far from good. The tee boxes resembled a horse shoe pit and left much to be desired. With my brand of golf, i tend to see every facet of the golf course. And each facet that i saw, got worse and worse. After our 3 hour front 9, we decided the juice simply was not worth the squeeze. In closing, may God have Mercy on the folks who run that golf course. Thank you.

$70 for midweek is a little steep. Like the layout but this isn’t the only course around that has kept their fees high

There is nothing about this course that would make me come back. The price is high and the conditions were not good. The greens had sand on every one and the pace of play was SLOW. We even skipped a hole as the group in front of us were not good golfers playing from the blue tees. No ranger around either

The greens were aireated and sanded, which is understandable but the cups were overgrown with grass reducing the size of the holes and causing balls to deflect that should have gone in.

When complaint was made to Management they said there was not time to recut the holes and would not make any sort of accomandations for course conditions
