A Dev Emmet Gem
One of my favorite Emmet courses in the greater NYC area. The only negative is that several holes were lost when I-84 was built.
The Emmet greens that remain and an absolute joy to play. The tenth green has to be seen to be believed. If you get the opportunity to play, do not pass it up.
The Powelton Club in Newburgh is a beautiful trip into golf lore. This 1892 Country Club does not fail at any level. The golf course is in pristine condition. The fairways are well manicured, the rough plush and challenging and the greens are fir, receptive and true. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The pro shop is well stocked and the pro and assistant pro are very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant staff served an excellent outdoor lunch which was prepared to perfection. The Powelton Club is worth the price of admission.
