About
The Golf Club at Middle Bay is located on Long Island's south shore overlooking the barrier islands of Jones Beach, Point Lookout, and Lido Beach. Nearly every hole looks out across water. Though the golf course is just an hour outside of New York City, you'll feel as though you've been whisked off to an out-of-town resort. The layout has a challenging design that will test your accuracy with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wind will also be a factor on this golf course. The Golf Club at Middle Bay is a tough but fair layout that players of all skill levels will enjoy. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range available.

Best course for every new yorker.
From fast greens and the well maintained course it is a pleasure to play middle bay. With difficulty of wind from all sorts of directions it is a true test of golf. Have recommended this course to everyone I know who plays golf. Thanks for a great day middle bay.

Why do they hire jerks?
I don’t get why courses hire these jerks. This old guy with white mustache berates me for parking the cart on the grass near the range. Even after I apologize, tell him it’s my first time there, and promise to move it he still seems to have a problem with me. Tells me I have no common sense - as if nobody parks carts on grass, and getting it out of the way from the pavement is not a common sense thing to do. What other business hires these kinds of people to insult and berate their customers? Real nice welcome. Otherwise the course was great.

Great pace - fun course
Had a great time playing this course. Finished in 4h20 which was pretty great. The one thing that baffled me where the number of broken golf balls and golf ball casings all around the course.

Perfect Day
Course was in great shape. Only blemish was the excess geese poop on hole 11 tee box (a mine field) but watching boats do fly byes on the inlet made it bearable. Overall great weather and day, staff was top shelf.

What a great course!
Ronnie keeps this course in great shape ! I think it’s one of the south shores best courses ! I’ve been playing here for several years and the last 5 years this course has been immaculate! . Hopefully at some point there will be a clubhouse, but the course conditions make up for the lost club house from Sandy ! Thank you Middle Bay ! Mark Walsh

Good not great
Overall a good course, greens always in great condition
Course doesn’t drain well obviously because it’s on the water.
The carts shutdown when you go off course which is a huge annoyance and slows play down considerably.
But always worth playing.

Sunday Golf ⛳️
Place was in great shape however it’s a five hour round which makes for not a great experience ai in spite of it you’re still in hurry up mode and slow down sane time
to so great views greens were immaculate starter was a little surly but otherwise great would love to play it again when it’s not so slow

Quality and Value
the last 2+ years, Middle Bay greens are as good as any private course on LI. And that is with increased COVID play. Alot to be said for shutting down for a few months in winter. There is always a risk of casual water at Middle bay because it has low spots and tidal pools. By and large they do an excellent job in conditioning. Routing for the course is excellent. Only long walk is from 9th green to 10th tee. Simple pro shop and cafe( does not sell beer) but the cart girl does sell beer. Adequate driving range and excellent putting green. Staff is very attentive and polite. the wind and quick greens are Middle Bays defense.
