About
The Golf Club at Middle Bay is located on Long Island's south shore overlooking the barrier islands of Jones Beach, Point Lookout, and Lido Beach. Nearly every hole looks out across water. Though the golf course is just an hour outside of New York City, you'll feel as though you've been whisked off to an out-of-town resort. The layout has a challenging design that will test your accuracy with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wind will also be a factor on this golf course. The Golf Club at Middle Bay is a tough but fair layout that players of all skill levels will enjoy. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range available.

Quality and Value
the last 2+ years, Middle Bay greens are as good as any private course on LI. And that is with increased COVID play. Alot to be said for shutting down for a few months in winter. There is always a risk of casual water at Middle bay because it has low spots and tidal pools. By and large they do an excellent job in conditioning. Routing for the course is excellent. Only long walk is from 9th green to 10th tee. Simple pro shop and cafe( does not sell beer) but the cart girl does sell beer. Adequate driving range and excellent putting green. Staff is very attentive and polite. the wind and quick greens are Middle Bays defense.

Overall great course. Greens are true. Well maintained. Get out early before the crowds clog up the course. In my rotation for sure!

Play this gem!
The course is a really good seaside course. 7 holes with water off the tee box. Sloped greens with interest breaks. Check it out.

Saturday at middle bay
Even though the course was packed we still got 18 holes in under 4 hours and 15 minutes. The ranger was on top of people pushing the pace and was super friendly. The cart girl went over and beyond to make sure our round was great. The bag drop off and pick up circle is a great touch.

Great track. Staff was great. Seeing improvements to other amenities is a plus. Greens were true and in great shape. Definitely recommend! Will play again!

Ranger with an attitude
The course was in great shape, and we were enjoying or day when the course ranger came out to tell us to pick up the pace. We looked behind us and saw the group behind us was a hole and a half behind us. We told the ranger ok even though we didn’t feel we were playing slow . 2 holes later he started riding along with us and hassling us again
This time he got heated and started using profanities. When we asked how far behind we were he said 5 minutes.
The group in front of us was a twosome an wet basically on the green when we were teeing off. The group behind was still a hole and a half behind us.
It seems more important on a 95 degree day for them to hassle golfers over getting done in 4 hrs, than it is for their patrons to enjoy themselves and possibly want to return.
We finished in 4 hrs and 2 minutes
