About
The Golf Club at Middle Bay is located on Long Island's south shore overlooking the barrier islands of Jones Beach, Point Lookout, and Lido Beach. Nearly every hole looks out across water. Though the golf course is just an hour outside of New York City, you'll feel as though you've been whisked off to an out-of-town resort. The layout has a challenging design that will test your accuracy with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wind will also be a factor on this golf course. The Golf Club at Middle Bay is a tough but fair layout that players of all skill levels will enjoy. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range available.

Country club conditions
The course is in absolutely incredible shape. If you want to play this course at its peak condition go now!! Fairways were firm and trim, greens were rolling at 10-11 and true as can be. Light breeze made it a joy and of course the pace during covid was around 4 hours. No range open but putting green was.
30-40 mile gusts. Greens very firm. Test of the mind.

Excellent Course
The best public course you will play . Can be very challenging yet rewarding , the course is kept in great shape and the staff are always very helpful and pleasant . Very rarely do we get held up as they always watch the pace of play , can’t recommend Middle Bay enough . Keep up the good work folks !

Course has very nice features.
Considering with covid virus was nice to get out n play 18. Course extremely challenging if you playing on a windy day like we did in late afternoon. Staff was awesome and accomadating.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY TO WALK
Let me start off by saying the only thing good about this course is the greens. The greens are in amazing shape and are very responsive. At $60 to walk though you can get a lot more bang for your buck elsewhere. Drainage at the course is horrible, even with storm drains in the middle of some of the holes. There’s a lot of geese droppings all over. It’s like like hitting out of a mine field on some of the fairways because of it. 11 and 18 fairways have a lot of issues from standing water. Dead patches and hard pan fairway in some spots. The course plain and simple needs a ton of work to be worth $60 to walk!

Great Condition
This course had just opened the beginning of the week so it was in great condition. Fairways were nice and tee boxes just as nice. The greens were fantastic that were true and rolled great. Foursome in front of us were horribly slow, They were all walking on top of the fact that they had no etiquette. This is not the courses fault. If you haven't played this course,you should. It is challenging with some precise shots needed. Wind tends to be always a factor here as it is right off the water.

Played on a pretty windy day in early spring so the fescue was down. Course has a pretty nice layout with some length and challenging shapes. Course was in great shape considering what I assume are lower staffing levels due to the COVID19. Greens were a little slow today but it rained earlier. Wind was very challenging. Great course. Great deal.

Spectacular Layout
One of the best features of Middle Bay is its spectacular layout. The true test of a course's greatness relies on one' s ability to remember each of the holes after playing there. Middle Bay passes this test with a full slate of memorable holes. The course is challenging, especially with many beautiful views of Great South Bay to distract you.
The staff is another positive factor contributing to a pleasant experience. They go the extra yard offering a ride to your car with your clubs. Offering senior tees make it more attractive for me to enjoy this beautiful course without struggling with the extra yardage.
I highly recommend playing this course as I will certainly continue to do so.

ALWAYS A GREAT PLACE TO PLAY
Love to play this course. On the date of play it began windy and then it became cold and windy. Tough to play in those conditions. The course was in great shape, as usual and this time the price was right thanks to GOLF PASS. I will be back in the spring.

Great Course By the water
Overall the course is very fun.. Links feel with mostly wide fairways ... once on the green, your putting skills are tested... If your game is not suited to play in the wind, then you may have a tough day... for the holes by the water take sometime and appreciate the views. Approach shots can test your skills as they can be protected by some bunkers... bunkers are not too difficult... but definitely bring your short game for this course.. staff is great and pace of play most days are solid 4hrs if the groups play well...
