Broadacres Golf Club
About
Broadacres Golf Club is situated in southern Rockland County on the border between New York and New Jersey. Its convenient location allows for easy access from both states and it's only a 20-minute ride from midtown Manhattan. The golf course has nine holes with an alternate set of tees for an 18-hole round. The layout sprawls across rolling hills dappled with towering oak trees. The golf course incorporates a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. With narrow, tree-lined fairways and undulating greens, accuracy will serve you well on this course. You'll face several doglegs and there are strategically placed bunkers fiercely guarding the greens. Broadacres Golf Club's signature third hole is one of the toughest holes in the area. This par 3 plays up a steep hill to an undulating green.

Good Caorse Condition
If you looking to play a quick 9 at a coarse in good shape, this is the one. nothing really to offer in terms of amenities but good for someone who is looking to shoot out, play and get home.
9 hole facility and tricky the first time
Course is hard to find. When you get to the mental hospital, you still can't see the facility.
Many hidden hazards, so the first time playing, make sure you play with someone who's familiar with the course. Nice course to play and reasonable.

Can't c balls
This course is in good condition and the layout is challenging. My only complaint is I don't think you should not be able to see your vall if it rolls one foot off the fairway.
The secondary rough is a little to high. This is not the only course like this. If the USGA want to speed up pace of play ask the grounds keepers to cut that secondary rough a little lower, enough so players can see the top of the golf ball instead of sear going for a few minutes and sometimes not being able to find the ball. There is nothing more frustrating than playing a decent shot ant losing a ball. I would still recommend thus course.
Terrible experience
Staff is so rude in the pro shop.
Ranger don't care about who climb over a wall and play.

Nice course, but ...
the pace of play was painfully slow ... Nobody seemed to care (no ranger on duty). The course itself is well maintained. If you have time and a round of 18 holes > 5 hrs doesn't bother you, you might want to try this one. Good luck ...

Great 9 hole close to Manhattan
Probably the nicest kept course within 20 miles of Manhattan. It was my first time playing and for $20 I couldn't ask for anything more. Nicely kept and mostly away from and busy noise or traffic.
Broad Acres Golf Club
Course was nice and good condition. Staff was nice and welcoming. However, when I booked for 18 holes I didn't realize that it was a 9 hole course that you repeat for 18. Also, course information conveniently leaves out that it's located on the grounds of a psychiatric facility.
Great Value Course
Best bang for the buck course. Excellent conditions for this time of the year and the pace of play is good too.
Challenging 9 hole course
Played 18 holes changing tees for each 9 holes. Tough to reach greens in regulation on holes 3, 4 and 5 from either white or blue tees. Fairways and greens in good shape. Some areas off the fairways need work. Good course for locals!
B acres is the best
Broadacres is a great time. Challenging 9 and friendly staff. Great day.
Nice value
It's a good course for beginners and weekend hackers .. Not the best grounds but they are good .. It really is a good place to learn golf . If your looking to do 9 holes and don't require Tpc sawgrass grounds then this course is a good value.
Better Than Ever
I have been playing this course over many years, but have recently played twice since the new management company took over. The conditions of the greens and fairways are strikingly improved. Our round was at the perfect pace and the weather was spectacular. It was a memorable round for me personally, with 2 birdies and a 39 on the back 9.
Good day of Golf
Fun course the pace moved well some cut thoughts on the back holes slowed pace a bit . over all good conditions
SLOW SLOW SLOW
Course was very dry.
And very lush.
I hadn't played here in a few years, and now I know why.
I am glad I did not pay full price!!!
A hidden jem
Nice course that is worth playing again . Course conditions are very well maintained
between the fairways and the greens .
Decent for $
Decent course for the money.
Some tricky holes. Tough uphill par 3.
Some small greens. Played it while greens were aerated, so didn't get a good sense of what they were like. Bunkers were poor condition.
Had fun, nice staff, good for a local "warm up course"
Enjoyable
I have played Broad Acres for about 10 year's now. Always a good time. It is a tough course from the back tee's but they now have 4 different tee box's. Blue, white, red,and gold. It has helped to speed up play. My weekday round of 18 is about 3 1/2 hours. Weekends are about 30 to 40 minutes longer. The course is well maintained. The greens are tricky but true. The tee box's need work. The fairways are plush. I would recommend this course for any level of play. It's a hidden gem.
Great experience at Broadacres
The people there were very patient as it was a busy day and slow movement between holes. Staff says late mornings were best time if you want to golf uninterrupted.
