Broadacres Golf Club
About
Broadacres Golf Club is situated in southern Rockland County on the border between New York and New Jersey. Its convenient location allows for easy access from both states and it's only a 20-minute ride from midtown Manhattan. The golf course has nine holes with an alternate set of tees for an 18-hole round. The layout sprawls across rolling hills dappled with towering oak trees. The golf course incorporates a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. With narrow, tree-lined fairways and undulating greens, accuracy will serve you well on this course. You'll face several doglegs and there are strategically placed bunkers fiercely guarding the greens. Broadacres Golf Club's signature third hole is one of the toughest holes in the area. This par 3 plays up a steep hill to an undulating green.

nice course
Nice course, nut the pace of play was brutally slow for the first 9. Played much faster second time around.
Nice 9 Hold Course
Heard through the grape vine about this course. Its in a odd spot being on the grounds of Rockland Physch Center but only the first and last holes have a view of the facillity. Forgiving somewhat but very good greens. I recommend it if you want to play 9 holes but beware their are quite a a few beginners in the afternoon.
Broadacres Golf Course
Course is very good shape. Greens are excellent !!
Without a golf now coupon the green fee's are expensive for anyone who doesn't live in the town.
Would play more often if fees were lower
Close to home, but not a fan
Tried to get out on Blue Hill golf course, but could not find a tee time all morning till early afternoon, got out quick on Broadacres.. at the 2hr 25 min mark, I was on hole 7 and just called it quits.. When golf is that slow, it takes the fun out of it. I don't mind new/young/bad golfers, but just get to your ball, and go. It only takes one or two groups, to make everyone else suffer, and just takes the enjoyment out of the day. The starter was a nice fellow, did not see one ranger.
Good layout, challenging
Course was in good shape, although some areas was hard pan . Very challenging for a nine. Would like to play there again.
First Time
Great staff. Didn't try food or beverage. Clean course. Easy to play. People behind us rushed us through, didn't like that
Rockland County's Hidden Gem
Hidden in a municipal complex just off the Palisades Parkway, you will find one heck of an interesting 9 hole golf course. Broadacres is a classically designed NY tree lined course.
Hole 3 is a daunting 230 yard uphill par 3 and hole 4 is a super long par 4, you will find that making par on either of these two holes feels more like a birdie. Fortunately, if you play 18, you can take two cracks at them, or if you prefer play 9 from the blues and 9 from the whites, you get a very different look at them. Hole 7 is another fun little hole, a nearly drivable par 4 that is reminiscent of Ridgewood country club's famous "nickel and dime" hole.
Overall, this course is a great track to walk or take beginners to. But it isn't an easy course. It is located on the border of Rockland and Bergen county NJ and is only about 30 mins from the George Washington Bridge. Definitely worth the drive from NYC, if your not looking for a course with a lot of amenities.
Greens were well maintained.
Course was in the middle of a old psychiatric hospital which was really weird, but the course was actually well maintained.
Good value
course was in excellent condition. greens are very good. will play 18 again next week.
Surprised on the location
A great little local sleeper.....it was built at a Psychiatric facilty in Rockland County, NY to use as therapy for the in patient population back in the day. But now is a private 9 hole that you can play 18 if you want too. Well kept. Great staff. But no food or drink. Fourty five for 18 with a cart on the weekend.
tough
Have to play 9 holes twice but it will take you many more times to play it well. Tough!!
Great 9 Hole Course
Played this Course many years ago. It is now in much better shape. Some of the holes have been changed since the last time we played there. Enjoyed it very much
Great Course & Great Staff
9 hole hidden gem! 9 Great Holes that you look forward to playing again& again. Very Friendly Staff & the course conditions were excellent.
No wow factor
The course is fairly short and hilly for walkers. Typical 9 hole course for practicing but greens were thick and slow. If you just want to hit 9 holes, not too bad. But the course is hiddeen behind a psychiatric ward.
9 hole course
For some reason there was a 5 some playing in front of us. Not a good day.
Great practice course
I found a great deal on 'golfnow', and booked as a single, was paired with another single, and played a fun round. The course is short and fairly easy if you hit straight off the tee; it is a great practice course since it's in good conditions and has interesting holes. It is also a great walking course, and a good value for money. It's a little tricky to find since it's off the main road. It's located next to a psychiatric facility(you can see some patient walking on the street...No worries, it feels safe! :-)
