Rolling Oaks Golf Course

Very short course. Surprised that the greens were as good as they were. The fairways need a tremendous amount of work on 75% of the holes.

Unfortunately, saw a lot of beer cans and other debris near all of the tees.

Very good as a practice course for irons and short game.

Booked through golf now, glad that they sent an email regarding the constraints to the golf course now and that they were able to make the last minute adjustment and get the refund.. unfortunately, when you try and get the refund , the runaraound that you have to do is pathetic and on top of it all, you can’t the refund. Why send the email in the first place?

I booked this on golf now and paid 70 for 2 golfers with a cart, golf now sent an e Mail last night that the course was walking only I did not want to loose my tee time so I did not cancel when I got to the course it was empty I could have played for 25 each, on top of which course is poorly kept and greens were recently aerated so puts went off line.

I booked a hot buy for today, and when I showed up the course was closed for the season. I don’t know how they can continue to remain booking tee times if they’re closed. I demand a refund!

Rolling Oaks is now one of the only executive courses within this area. I play 2-3 times a week throughout Long Island. I am well versed with every public course. This course has fairways that are in great shape with few divots. The greens also are divot free. You will find the staff friendly and accommodating. I always show up early to every golf course. The staff will launch you as soon as your ready to play. . The only negative is poor drainage on two holes that have created ponds . I expect that Brookhaven will rectify this issue. (Hopefully) With the loss of Heatherwood Golf Course I expect to see more rounds of golf played here and possibly even more money used to enhance the course. A few of the approaches are very difficult due to overhanging tree limbs. Overall it’s a great value for your money. As far as off course amenities JRs steakhouse is being renovated and should reopen in 6 weeks.

Foursome of slow play golfers let us play Thought on the second hole after that clear sailing . Coarse in OK shape except for leafs on numerous holes. Like playing here for iron play

One of the worst maintained courses I’ve ever played. Staff wanted to make us walk due to wet conditions, finally allowed us to use he carts only cart paths. Which is fine. The amount of leave on the course would eat up your ball so using your cart to look for a ball seems to be a faster way. Ranger out of no where decided he will do his job instead of getting his own round in and comes over to explain the cart path rule to be as if I’m some dummy. It truly is a shame that this is how these places are being run. And people wonder why they keep going out of business. I won’t be back and I won’t recommend it.

Course changed hands of manager. I see improvements on the greens and fairways. Car paths done. 14th hole was bad. Needs work. Greens are fast. Course is very tight. It's all about accuracy here on the Fairways.

The course had some tough holes but some very doable holes as well. Good mix easy to walk but they do offer carts

Rolling Oaks has Two Par 5’s both are difficult due to water on one par 5 and a narrow dogleg on the other. There are 9 par 3s . The course is 4337 yards from. the blue tees .

Brookhaven has been improved this course by recently installing new cart paths. The airways are in great condition with very few divots.

Today there were tree surgeons on the course removing dead trees . However the course needs to trim the overhanging branches throughout the course. The branches are obstructing the par 3s . Hopefully this will be corrected soon.

I recommend stopping at JRs Steakhouse after your round! This restaurant has no affiliation with the course but shares the same parking lot.

This is a short course that has a great layout.

The fairways were in fantastic condition!

It’s a fun course. Tree branches need tp be removed more frequently. Sand traps have to many big rocks in them. I always take some out each time I end up in them. Golfers need to repair their ball marks more frequently. I repair some each time I see some. Would signs help to have golfers to do this. Golfers are not replacing there divots either. I love this course but it has gotten harder to play with the added water hazards on the 16th and 17th holes which nature has added for us. The newly paved cart path ride great now. Was glad to see them fixed up. Enjoy playing this course!

Save your money. I wanted badly to like it, the area could use a good exec course but until they cut back some trees RO is a disaster. All punch shots and sliver-sized openings. Greens were okay, aerated mud fairways on par 4s less so. Granted it rained last night but the canopy has nothing to do with that.
