Good value. Run down
The price could not be beat: $16 for 18 holes with a cart on GolfNow. The paths for the carts were in horrible shape. The fairways were good, the greens were excellent. The course layout is awful. There was no one on the course due to the high temperatures ( 90+°). There is no refreshment cart and the restaurant behind the pro shop would not sell beer to bring on the course There is a soft drink machine outside the pro shop.
If it weren't for the signs showing you where the next hole is you can easily get lost. There's no logic to the layout of the holes
Gas powered golf carts were very powerful. You need to drive slowly or else the potholes in the paths would knock your balls around!
municipal course
the condition of the course is fair. pace of play today was reasonavble.
Course is good for beginners
Course is in good shape. only problem is must holes a par 3 and the course lay out is not very good each fairways and tee boxes are very close to each other
Town course needs help
I'm giving Rolling Oaks a three star rating. It should be a two star, but lack of recent rain has maybe affected this dry course. Aside from that, staff were helpful and friendly, but course needs an overhaul.
Cart paths are in poor condition, pot holes etc. !
Parking lot shared with J&R Steakhouse is also in poor condition.
This course has been there for a long time. Think its time that the town of Brookhaven spend a couple bucks on it.
Family course
Nice course for the family, ladies and seniors! Great place to practice your irons as well!
save your money
course used to be a good value but no more..Fairways in poor shape. Trees need to be trimmed./ Sand traps more like dirt traps.. No money out into this course for years.
Unless you get a cheap rate its just not worth it.
Slow greens
The greens were painfully slow, back 9 was beautiful but the front was just average. Spent a lot of time waiting.
Great course for the money!!
I can't see how people complain about this course. The staff are always the nicest people and to play a round for as low as $20, what is there to complain about?? The course is usually in better then good condition. Sometimes it backs up, but someone please find somewhere that never happens and I'll eat my cleats. The course plays tight, so if you're not accurate you may drive into the oaks...but if that's not great for practicing you're accuracy I don't know what is!! Course is great and people are too!
Great course for the money!!
Been going here for years, great course for the money. Only bad things to say is sometimes you can get stuck behind beginners so they don't know the basic rules on keeping pace or being courteous about letting someone play through. Other then that the staff are amazing and the course is great. Especially good course if you want to hone in on your accuracy.
Horrible course
Don't golf here. Better off in your own backyard.
If only my Backyard looked like those pictures!
I'm a local - In 2015 Rolling Oaks Golf course was in Great shape.
Now 2016 they continue adding more bunker sand, capital improvements are only done for a good reason. From what it was to what it is now, I'll pay to play there anytime.
Course Management is the Key
Was paired up with 3 great guys; the key to playing this course is being able to hit your irons accurately. Greens were very fast and cart paths need work. Enjoyed the course; would recommend and play again. It's challenging.
nice executive course
it is a nice narrow course with many overhanging branches. greens are challenging and in good shape. staff was very friendly and helpful. cart paths are made for a mountain goat
Rolling oaks
The only problem on this course was the tee boxes very bad condition other than that course is very challenging greens are very well kept and fast
Harder than it looks
Staff excellent. Fairways and greens in good condition.beginer to intermediate course. Hidden gem
quick round
Nice quick round tight fairways lots of trees and uneven greens in good shape make for interesting game, Steakhouse food and service excellent
For the beginner
Wasn't expecting great conditions for the money, but the course is awful. Nothing but dirt patches and mud. And those are the fairways! Good for the beginning golfer. Enough said.
needs some work
course fairways need alot of work. greens in decent shape
U get what you pay for (usually) in golf!
The title of this review says it all! It's a small course, with a dogleg right par 5, a couple of par 4's n the rest par 3's! Overgrown trees crowd the fairways, so your tee shots have to be pretty darn straight! The greens are beat up, really beat up! Nobody fixes their divots at this course, shame. For $36 round/cart I was done in under two hours! I got to play 18, albeit on a course that could easily be JUST a par 3 course! Good course for beginners, but if you are looking for a challenge, go elsewhere.. I got what I paid for!
