Golfer Reviews
No carts
My tee time was 11:28 and when i arrived at 10:55 I was told there were no carts available. The starter also said they were running behind schedule. Needless to say I didn’t begin my round until 12 o’clock a half hour late.
Played twice, fond memories
This was a unique and fun course that I was excited to return to the next day, as long as you understand that it seems that you can get a tee time here when everything else is booked and it is what it is, Rolling Oaks offers plenty of challenge and a decently cared for course that is fun to play .
The greens were stiff, but not unreadable, and I began to enjoy how they rolled after a while. There are ALOT of trees, but it made me use my brain more and I even looked forward to returning to some of the covered tee shots on Par 3’s that required a little more shaping to achieve a result.
I travel for work and play a lot of solo rounds wherever I can get a tee time near my hotel. This place was solid. The Staff was super nice, they even let me play the back 9 when they had a league starting on the front and I was able to play the back twice fairly quickly and be on my way, and it was a challenging and unique layout.
Rolling oaks
Course is small very tight with a need for serious tree removal. Starter was a little annoying but that’s what you get at a course like this. For the price it’s good you get some cheap golf in Course started out this year looking good but needs fertilizer and water and one hole has a very unwelcoming water hazard
Could use some TLC
Much better than the usual executive course but the course could use some TLC. Tee boxes are a little beat up, A lot of dead branches all over the course and a lot of oak tree limbs hanging over fairways which cut down straight drives
Average course
Too many trees come into play even appear near the tee box.. They need an arborist to do some
Cleaning up of too mant over hanging branches. IMO , this would significantly improve the facility and make play more enjoyable.
Woods
Need to cut some branches overlooking the greens. Needs some yardage signs on last three holes.
Pity about the last three holes
16. 17. 18. Has a lateral water hazard you cannot see and is poorly signed. Needs a distance marking
Great starting course.
Really good beginner to intermediate course. Feels like mostly par 3’s but a beginner like myself is perfectly fine with it being that I don’t have the most impressive range in the world. Forces you to try and be accurate. Grounds all in pretty good condition and staff very easy going!
Rolling Oaks Review
Good course layout. Last 4 holes are clouded by water otherwise excellent
