Very Nice Corse
Fun Course with friendly welcoming staff and plenty of challenge.
Great value and fun!
Every hole was unique and different. Challenging but not unfair. Fairways, greens and rough were all nice. Enjoyed the experience.
Exceptional Value
This is typically an excellent option on GolfNow.
Whether you live, or travel to the Rochester area. If you see Wild Wood as a hot deal on GolfNow, it’s a safe bet you’ll be wowed by the value of the deal listed.
Wild Wood is a very well maintained course. It’s not quite on the top tier of courses in the area, (Ravenwood, Deerfield, Greystone). However, it’s only slightly below those courses, and you’ll pay substantially less to play here.
This is a traditional style course, (compared to a links course) such as Ravenwood, Greystone, or Mill Creek. However, you usually have enough room incase you go into the rough, to have a decent look / punch shot, back into the fairway.
Though, there def are a good amount of both water and sand hazards throughout the course.
The couple areas I feel this course could improve a tad on, are the sand bunkers, (racked though are lacking sand currently, and the at turn kitchen). Nothing bad, though a little dated.
Though, don’t let those minor details scare you off as I would much rather play two rounds here, compared to one of the other courses I have listed.
The pro shop and bathroom amenities are very nice!
Be prepared to show proof
This course was excellent however the gentleman in the pro shop charged us an extra $20 for cart fees when they were supposed to be included with the Hot Deal. I only had the email confirmation which does not plainly state that cart fees were included. Be sure to show the reservation screen on the app itself!
Rain
Course was in good condition but due to the rainy conditions the ground crew hasn’t been able to cut the rough
Always a pleasure to play
I played with a friend and his son. The course was is great condition. There was some pretty good roll on the fairways, not so much in the rough which is where I seemed to play from a lot. The greens were running fast. For me, the best play was to land short and let the ball bounce & roll into the greens. I especially love the holes where the tee box is elevated above the fairway or the greens on some of the par 3's. Will be playing there again this weekend.
Short, interesting, and fun
Went out solo on a 7:30 AM tee time. Pro shop staff was friendly. Course was a little soggy after overnight storms, many bunkers full of water - obvi out of staffs’ control - course otherwise in good condition. It is a short course, good mix of dog legs and straight, lovely elevation changes. Forgiving tee shots, there is a premium on the second shot. Undulating elevated greens make for potentially difficult putting. Some blind shots, but hole layout depictions at the tee boxes helped. Swampy, marshland water and plants visible, pleasing to the eye, but doesn’t really come into play which is nice. Had a great time. 16.6 HCP, shot 92.
A Lovely Day
Great course layout - every hole has different challenges.
Best values this year.
With golfing prices increasing in this area, Wildwood keep their prices reasonable. The course is in good conditions. The grounding crew seem to work very hard, but they should give way to players (no distractions).
Terrible experience
Literally then slowest play ever took almost 3 hours to play 9. The group that was 2 in front of us had 4 carts and were holding everyone behind . Ended up leaving and not finishing the last 5 holes
