Regulation Eighteen at Smithtown Landing Golf Club
About
Smithtown Landing Golf Club offers both an 18-hole regulation course and a nine-hole executive course. The courses are open to the public on weekdays and to Smithtown residents on the weekends. The Regulation Course has a surprisingly tough layout with subtle but tricky contours throughout that cause some challenging lies. Mature trees line the fairways, making accuracy a necessity and there are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. At 6,114 yards from the back tees, it's a golf course that requires strategy over length, beginning with the first hole. This dogleg right par 4 will force you to carefully think about the placement off the tee. In addition to the two golf courses, Smithtown Landing also has two practice greens with surrounding short game areas and a driving range.

Very slow pace. No ranger
Backed up after 3 holes. Many tee boxes recovering and closed off. Need ranger to move things along.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!

Good course, very slow play
Every other course has 9 or 10 minutes between tee times, Smithtown still has 8 minutes. Before the pandemic, course play wasn't too bad. Last year I stopped playing here due to the slow play.
Lots of uneven lies
Small greens
Course is usually in good shape for a municipal course. Beautiful layout. Love this place.
Gem of a Course
This course is a gem! Friendly staff, great layout always in good condition. Country Club vibe at a great price.
They need a clubhouse for after golf drinks.
Nice course…
Played here for the first time. Very much the off-season, but I’m hooked on the game. Staff was super friendly, course was wide open, it was fun playing a new track. . For a low-teen handicap guy, it was perfect. If you haven’t played here give it a try…you won’t be disappointed.
Great course and value
I have play Landing since the 1970’s and it has never been better! Always in good shape and open year round. Challenging but very playable. But you should not have removed the bunkers on 16. Otherwise I love to play this course. And change the name of the par 3 back to the Sarazen!
Great winter golf
Glad to see this course back on golf now for a reasonable price. Too many courses taking advantage of the current economy to shamelessly raise their course prices.
Hidden Gem
This course has an incredible layout and is always well maintained. Public course with a Country Club feel. Staff very professional and friendly. A hidden gem! Wish they had a 19th hole for after golf hang!
