Overall Excellent Quality Course
Look... This may not be Bethpage Black, but for the price you simply cannot beat it. Greens were excellent and overall just great quality course. Tee boxes were muddy on some wholes, but that is expected after a decent amount of rain.
I paid $29 for a round including cart. In NYC it's difficult to find anything cheaper and with such quality golf course period! Definitely coming back!
Holiday Golf at Smithtown Landing
For December this course was in very good condition. Putting greens were very nice and they did a wonderful job getting rid of leaves. Fun course.. highly recommend.
Change Starter
Per the Pro shop all tee times on Saturday were booked with foursomes. However, the Starter inserted a single player to tee off ahead of my foursome without my knowledge or permission To make matters worse, this single player was a beginner which caused us to wait at every hole for him to tee off and then search for his ball. We complained to the pro shop but to no avail. If you are playing the busy weekend I would make sure the Starter is not pulling this crap again. BTW greens are real fast!

Wanna play private course green?
Not sure why or how, but the greens were running at a 15. Never played a course public or private with greens this fast. If you aren’t used to it, it definitely takes getting used to and ball placement adds another level of play. 40 putts with 4 one puts, above the hole and miss? See ya!
Summer Day in Fall
The course was in fabulous conditions. Greens were firm and fast. Fairways in good with not much debris as in leaves being it's Fall. Was an exceptionally warm so many golfers on the course causing a slow pace of play.
Half way house was open for business, but didn't understand why the beverage cart was not in service. Was partnered with a very nice gentlemen and another twosome to round out the group. The twosome only played the front nine which made the back nine and even longer wait.
In all it's a fun course to play just wish it played slightly faster.
