Challenging course for walking
Last minute tee time for July 4th - conditions were very good, fairways in good shape but diabolical greens - not a flat one on the course. Busy & some slowdowns, 5h round. I enjoy walking, and this course was a real test with the elevation changes & rough cart paths on some holes.
Will be back
Honestly only thing that needs improving is cart girl, and tee boxes. It wasn’t as wet as we thought which means it dried pretty well! Tough challenging course that rarely lets you hit driver. Loved it though. Can’t wait to be back again
Beautiful course tough track
I wish I was a better golfer. I played here a few years ago and forgot how difficult it was for me. The other 3 players peared wirh me didn't do any better. One player knew the course. She faired a bit better. I lost 8 ballss others maybe more. It's a beautiful course and friendly and helpful staff.just way over my level to enjoy it.. many blind narrow fairways and nice greens but difficult with some inclines.
course had a nice mix of interesting holes
enjoyed this course. nice mix of holes. some up and down. excellent greens
Great day of golf
The greens were tough and very challenging. A lot of slope to this course. Needed to be well aware of distance control. Love this course. I will be playing this course again.
Nice course - greens not so
I just love to play courses that force you to plot out your next shot. You can't just take out your driver and hit it, lot of good doglegs :)
Maybe it was just the hole locations for the day, but it seemed to me that the greens were planned for PGA stars to play and not us mere mortals. The bunkers also need some care.
But overall a great course that is well worth the visit.
Nice little course
Play here often and this course beats you up. From the tee box to the greens. Short course so you don’t need length off the tee. Very difficult greens and narrow fairways.
Challenge accepted
Very narrow fairways and a lot of dog legs. A great course to practice smart golf
Walking only in Heat and Humidity!
The course was wet in spots due to recent rains.
No carts allowed so we walked the extremely hilly course during extreme temperatures and high humidity.
Thankful for the gentleman who brought us 2 ice cold waters .
Difficult course, you need to think on every shot and bring extra balls!
Somers National
Course is up for sale. No cart girl now working drink machines, no one at the turn to get a snack at the outdoor stand, no water stations on course and the nerve to tell players can't carry a cooler on course - made us leave our cooler w just waters in car. Horrific pace of play, pin placements in locations leaving scratch golfers scratching your head. Could be a great course unfortunately it's not.
Wouldn't play here again.
There's fun challenging and then there's annoying challenging. This course is the latter. Tight, sloped fairways with dense brush and trees on either side. This course is a vacuum for your golf balls.
Decent price for what you get, but with all the amazing golf courses in the area, I'd avoid playing here.
