Somers National
Course is up for sale. No cart girl now working drink machines, no one at the turn to get a snack at the outdoor stand, no water stations on course and the nerve to tell players can't carry a cooler on course - made us leave our cooler w just waters in car. Horrific pace of play, pin placements in locations leaving scratch golfers scratching your head. Could be a great course unfortunately it's not.
Wouldn't play here again.
There's fun challenging and then there's annoying challenging. This course is the latter. Tight, sloped fairways with dense brush and trees on either side. This course is a vacuum for your golf balls.
Decent price for what you get, but with all the amazing golf courses in the area, I'd avoid playing here.
You're not Augusta. Why are your greens like this?
Second time playing, and probably last. Too many blind shots for starters. But my foursome unanimously agreed the greens are ridiculously unfavorable. When you have a short putt miss by six inches, proceeding to roll across and off the green multiple times, the fun disappears. Also, heavily high-grassed short hillsides that are part of several fairways are impossible to get a stance on, or even search for a buried ball. The elevation changes also make it a challenging walking course.
This course has good features.
This course is good, but proshop building is too old.
For the price
Limited amount of golf cart. No pull carts. Restaurant was closed.
Most of the staff were not friendly
Somers National
Waaay overrated. Not a place I will play again or recommend.
Challenging mountainous course
Beautiful surroundings, and a hilly test for the best swingers. Hole 11 is absurdly laid-out and should be re-designed.
Rushed for no reason
I got paired with a group that was already off the tee on an earlier tee time. The ranger than let a twosome play through us which was completely unnecessary given how many people were on the course and our rate of play. The rangers came by multiple times to tell us to pick it up when we were playing quickly. Not a fan of this place.

Great course! Some holes are short but the greens are domed and tricky
Thank you for the great review! We're glad you enjoyed the course. While some holes are on the shorter side, those tricky domed greens definitely keep things interesting. Hope to see you back for another round soon!
Great Course, but hate the new trend
Nice conditions, challenging course. But what I do not like is that if I show up as a single golfer they make me share a cart with a stranger. This has recently become a trend that I find annoying and pointless.
